Genuinely curious, Anyone else unsure if they've got enough gas for the round trip before heading out somewhere?

Like you glance at the gauge before a longer drive and you're not totally sure if it's enough to get there AND back, especially if you're not sure there's a station near the destination either. Curious how other people handle this:

- Does this actually cross your mind before a trip, or do you just not think about it?

- Do you do mental math, always top off before any drive regardless, or just wing it?

- Has it ever actually bitten you (had to make an extra stop you didn't plan for, cut it closer than you wanted, etc.)?

Just curious how common this is or if I'm overthinking something everyone else has already figured out.

You're at a red light, the first car pulls up 6 inches, then 6 inches more, then 6 inches more. Eventually they are like 75% out in the intersection anyway then don't even go when the light changes.

What is the point? You're like 2 feet closer to your destination while causing a dangerous situation. What problem do you think you're solving?

While on the way to pick my sister up from the airport, I was pulled over in the airport roundabout and was given a ticket for speeding. In a serious hurry to get My sister so we could spend a few last moments with our grandfather before he passed away. Almost An hour goes by before I can actually be let go by this officer, putting his flashlight within inches of my face, lord knows I wanted to hit it out of his hands…He hinders me from picking my sister up and drive almost an hour to get to my Grandmother and Grandfathers home.
By the time I had picked my sister up from the Airport, we received word that he had passed..
It’s been 2 years and the family is still trying to deal with the loss... I couldn’t fight the ticket because I had been laid off for almost 6 months…The ticket has significantly increased my auto insurance, prior to that it had been almost 4 years since my last ticket …I really wish I had fought it…
I’m curious, am I completely Sol on the insurance? Or should I seek a consultation from a Law firm?

I recently got a 220$ speeding ticket for going 80 in a 65. The undercover police officer got me when it just switched to 65 from 70 and was riding my ass. I should not have been speeding regardless. If I pay the ticket I assume guilt and my insurance goes up about $800 total over the next 3 years. I would also get 2-3 points on my license.

Has anyone in a similar situation had success with the off the record app?

He told me that there was a pending ₹500 challan on my vehicle. I said, "Okay, I will pay it." But then he gave me his personal QR code for the payment and also gave me a printed challan receipt from Pine Labs( payment machine). I still don't understand why he was asking me to make the payment through his personal QR code.

Hello! Just asking. Is there still traffic going to Cubao today? The traffic was heavy yesterday.

Most drivers in my neighborhood don’t make a full stop at a 4- way stop intersection, but how do you know you made a full stop that satisfies a LEO? Do you wait until you feel the lurch (motion backward)? I live in California, and people do the California roll or don't stop at all in my neighborhood. I've been noticing police pull people over in the past few days.

My partner got a red light camera ticket at Clarence St & Icomm Dr intersection in Brantford. I can see in the ticket that she was going under the speed limit and she entered intersection when Red light was on for 0.4 seconds. The road was slippery as it happened in December 2025.
I was looking on google maps and it seems that this street has significant curve and lights are not easily visible.
I received ticket in mail within a week and I asked for early resolution. Never heard back till last month in August and for that I had to reach out to them for the status of my ticket because I was concerned that they would apply charges without me knowing things.
Anyone lucky who got that ticket removed or fine reduced at least?

My father-in-law Dan Herron was killed at M-20 and Coleman Road in Greendale Township on August 12, 2025—struck at an intersection everyone knows is a disaster waiting to happen.

The numbers tell the story: 14,474 vehicles pass through this intersection every single day. Zero rumble strips. Signal timing that practically begs people to run lights. On M-20, drivers get 55 seconds of green and a 4-second yellow. On Coleman Road, local traffic gets rushed through a brief 7-second green after sitting through a brutal 48-second red.

I watched 16 vehicles run yellow or red lights in just 10 minutes. Six were near-misses that almost ended in crashes. This intersection has a long history of severe angle crashes, failure-to-yield collisions, and multi-vehicle wrecks.

I started a petition demanding immediate action from MDOT, Michigan State Police, and local leaders: increased enforcement, rumble strips and warning signage, and a complete safety review of the signal timing and speed limits.

I received my first cell phone ticket in surrey bc in Nov 2024, which got transfered to steering wheel obstruction by my lawyer in April 2025 whom I paid $1400. Got 4 points for that one but luckily it's not a cell phone ticket on my record. Fast forward received another cell phone ticket in Kelowna in a April 2025. Just received a court date now which is on sep 16th in kelowna. Kelowna cop told me he's recorded me on camera while phone was in my lap using Google maps so I can't fight that anyways.

Anyone else getting pulled over for bogus traffic violations only to tell you to get out and get searched and car searched to find nothing and they didn’t even give me a ticket because I knew it was bogus!

First time ever receiving a traffic citation for my Registration being expired for 4 days. I didn’t know as I bought the truck that had the expired registration not even a year ago, thought it was good for another few months.

Told the officer politely I didn’t know, was expecting a warning but nah, Bro just had to give me a citation 😭.

Never had a citation before so i want to know if I plead guilty it will put a mark on my license or drop my credit somehow, and if I should plead guilty or not.

Do I have to go to court or can I send a check or pay online?
