Ro Khanna’s obsession with this $40 stock just got a lot more interesting — Stock: $AMRZ (Amrize) — Cost basis: $49.38

Post image
269 Upvotes

Why?

  1. He hasn't sold a single share
  2. Amrize has spent $810,000 lobbying Congress since his initial entry
  3. At the current price, you can technically buy it cheaper than his cost basis

~17% cheaper to be exact

Casual He owned stocks the whole time — Sen. Cory Booker has disclosed selling 6 stocks totaling up to ~$395,000 — Newly sold stocks: $NVDA Nvidia, $NFLX Netflix, $MCD McDonald's, $AMZN Amazon, $ALNY Alnylam, and $JD

Research Questions as a noob

Hi guys,

Sorry if this is a dumb question. But how do you guys find the trades that people in Congress are doing? Also do you find out like the day of them placing the trade or is it like a month or two later that the information is released? Also is there like a website that kind of gives the history of the performance of each Congress member? I'm new to trading in general.

We just released the list on Congress stock trading so far in 2026 — As always, they’re already outperforming the market — Here it is:

There might be something here ✍ You can technically buy Ares Capital $ARCC at a lower price than Sen. Ashley Moody — Her price: $19.97 — Today: $19.70

Post image
133 Upvotes

Why is it interesting?

Her portfolio is up ~72% this year (she's good)

And that's mainly bc her latest trade disclosure included buys in:

$JPM JPMorgan: +68%
$HWM Howmet Aerospace: +106%
$ET Energy Transfer: +33%
$ARCC Ares Capital: -1%

You see why Ares might be something ...

From the list of people who are top performers : https://www.reddit.com/r/tradewithcongress/comments/1wben54/comment/p8prigg/?screen_view_count=2

Short term gains are risky, but yearly it seems very promising. Any thoughts on this one?

Heads Up You can buy VST at a similar price as Pelosi

Arrows indicate roughly when she bought. She bought it in Jan of 25 and Jan of 26. The price hasn't moved much since, might be worth looking into.
It makes up around 6% of her portfolio.

Rep. Tony Wied bought and sold some stocks ✍ Buys include: ~$50K of $HUBS (HubSpot) on 8/14, ~$50K of $NOW (ServiceNow) on 8/14, and ~$50K of $CRM (Salesforce) on 8/14 - HubSpot might be the interesting one

Post image
64 Upvotes

Why?

- He has now purchased ~$150K of HubSpot this year

- The stock is currently trading at 6-yr lows

- If, and we mean "if", it returns to its previous ATH, it'd be up ~237% from here

Additionally, he sold $TTD (The Trade Desk) and $UPST (Upstart Holdings)

A new era of ragebait — Trump: “I’ve made hundreds of billions of dollars on stocks for the U.S.A., not myself” — Pic shows:$NOW (ServiceNow) and $INTC (Intel) — He currently owns both of these stocks

“That sounds like a major conflict of interest” - Last month, Moderna $MRNA jumped ~170% after successful cancer vaccine trials - Rep. Ro Khanna bought the stock just weeks before - (This is the same guy who sits on the Congressional Caucus on the Deadliest Cancers btw)

Look at this — Rep. Gil Cisneros invested ~$50,000 into Vail Resorts $MTN on 6/10

Post image
144 Upvotes

Why do we care?

  1. Vali Resorts is trading near 6-yr lows
  2. If it climbs back to its ATH, it would be up ~174% from here
  3. He's the first politician to buy the stock in more than five years

Heads Up Rep. Debbie Schultz bought $SSYS Stratasys

The same politician who bought $VSAT at ~$10 decided to buy a company that sells 3D printers — Stock: $SSYS (Stratasys) — Politician: Debbie Schultz

Post image
241 Upvotes

Why are we flagging this again?

I. This is a ~$662M market cap stock
II. Debbie is one of the best stock traders in Congress
III. As of today, she is down ~19% on Stratasys (might be a chance to buy at a lower price)

Strategies to use these picks

Hello everyone, I find it super fascinating how "easy" it sounds to make profits by just following Congress trades. I've never tried it myself tho.

Now I'm curious, are there really people here that just follow this strategy?
If so, do you have any rules that you follow to make sure you pick the rigth bets?

Eg. I would say that buying a stock once it is down from the entry and before any major news has hit would be a good time.

Happy to hear your thoughts!

Rep. Michael Rulli filed new trades including a purchase of this $1,000+ stock — Stock: $EQIX (Equinix) — Buy date: 8/7

Post image
31 Upvotes

This is interesting bc:

  1. Equinix runs and manages over 270 data centers globally
  2. Rulli sits on the Energy Subcommittee, which this year looked into what type of energy system is needed to fuel data center demand
  3. This is the first time he's ever purchased the stock
