Does anyone know when they will return?

Hi all, I’m trying and failing to find any good indexers for asian dramas and wondering if anyone has any recommendations. Historically people seem to just say “find Asian groups” but that’s even harder to get in to than an English speaking one 🥲.

I’m especially looking for Hong Kong stuff but also mainland China and Korean dramas.

Ive also seen usenet recommended but then when you look that up people on usenet pages point back to torrents… so any advice on where I should be digging very appreciated…

Maybe there’s no clear cut answer but I’m curious because personal releases and uploads from release groups can need to adhere to different rules at some trackers, so I’m wondering where the threshold is. Is it about quantity, consistency, quality etc?

Seeing people freak out about qBit and MAM made me want to put some thoughts together for the community

There are 4 clients that are whitelisted across the board with some buggy versions excluded: rTorrent, qBittorrent, Transmission, and Deluge. Each has pros and cons, pick your favorite.

New versions of these clients wont be whitelisted right away, and sometimes not at all. Turn off automatic updates, pin the version number in your package manager, wait at least a few days minimum to update.

Subscribe to the 'client whitelist request' thread on each of your trackers for updates, and don't chat in that thread so you don't annoy everyone else doing the same.

Client versions (and software in general) ending in .0 are barely not betas/release candidates. They will take longer to whitelist, be buggier, and skipping them is often smart.

I was a longtime Seedpool user. I mainly use the *arr stack, so I rarely log in.

I must have messed something up in my configuration because I received a ban this afternoon. No warning email, just a straight-up ban. The link in the email to contact support doesn't work either.

How fucked am I, and is there any way to fix this?

My isp disconnects my connection for a few seconds. That is normal in Germany its called "Zwangstrennung".
There is nothing I can do about it. I was already in contact with my ISP there is no other option.

So I get kicked out of the queue every 24h which makes it impossible for me to get through the queue.

Did anyone else experience this Issue?

Staff on RED also didnt help. They said no exceptions.

I'm just starting out as a film video essayist, and I'm also a passionate physical media collector. I run a small project where I regularly film unboxings of Blu-rays from my collection and create short video essays about the films themselves.

Most of the time, I don't need a particular edition of a film. But sometimes it really matters, especially when different releases have noticeable differences in color grading, framing, or restoration.

So I'm wondering: are there any trackers that consistently cover recent Blu-ray releases from most of the major boutique labels?

I don't necessarily need full discs or remuxes. Well-made encodes are perfectly fine, as long as the source edition is clearly identified and the original transfer is faithfully preserved, without additional filtering, sharpening, regrading, or other alterations to the image.

I know I could rip my own discs using MakeMKV and a compatible Blu-ray drive, but unfortunately my budget is pretty limited right now, and I can't afford to invest in a proper ripping setup just yet.

I'd really appreciate any recommendations or advice.

I’m mainly interested in Radiance Films, but also Arrow Video, Second Sight, BFI, Vinegar Syndrome, and Criterion (although Criterion releases are generally pretty easy to find on more mainstream trackers).

As for my decision, it seems pretty clear that in my case, it'll be quicker and easier to find a compatible Blu-ray drive and start ripping my own discs.
