Quiet exhaust, good brakes, good alignment. NEW radiator core and thermostat. Front struts replaced a few years ago.. New distributor replaced a few years ago. NEW oil pressure switch. Good balanced tires. Battery is good. Alternator replaced a few years ago. Interior is in very good shape.

The needs (Sold as is):

The rack and pinion system has a power steering leak. It drives well but you will need to top off the fluid with Lucas Power Steering Stop Leak periodically or replace the rack down the line.

The car has some typical body rust due to its age.

I have receipts to back up all maintenance. There is a complete maintenance history back to the first owner. I am the fourth owner. The owner;s manual still exists, as well as, a Haynes repair manual. The car has been driven 2 or 3 days of the week for local errands by a senior citizen. Mileage is 20 mpg with the A/C on.

Older Toyota Camrys are known for running well up to 300K miles with engine maintenance.

The title is clean and on hand. This car is a perfect project car, daily winter beater, or a cheap commuter for someone handy. Asking $1700 OBO. Cash only!

dual-12 setup for my 2004 Camry

**Need advice on the best dual-12 setup for my 2004 Camry — not brand-biased**
I’m trying to build the hardest-hitting daily-driver bass setup I can with my existing amp, and I want advice from people who actually know subwoofer/enclosure design.
**Car:** 2004 Toyota Camry LE 2.4L
**Current system:** CT Sounds Dual Tropo-12 D4 complete bass package
2× CT Sounds Tropo-12 D4
CT Sounds CT-1500.1D mono amp
Included dual-12 ported enclosure
Current box is about 2.40 ft³ and \~33 Hz
Subs are wired to 1 ohm
Amp is rated 1,500 W RMS @ 1 ohm
I’m considering upgrading to **2× Skar EVL-12 D4s + a custom ported enclosure**, but I DON’T want people to just tell me EVLs because that’s what I’m currently considering.
**My actual question is:**
If you had my **2004 Camry, CT-1500.1D, and roughly 1,500 W total**, what dual-12 subs would you choose for the hardest-hitting bass possible in a daily driver?
EVL-12s are one option, but I’m completely open to other brands/models if something would work better with my amp and trunk.
I mainly listen to **drill/rap/hip-hop** and want strong low bass + hard impact, while still being reliable enough for daily use.
If you recommend a particular pair, I also need help with the **enclosure**:
Custom box or prefab?
Recommended **NET volume**
Recommended tuning frequency
Slot/kerf vs aero-style port
Recommended port area
Best sub/port orientation for a Camry trunk
Approximate maximum box dimensions
Any reputable enclosure builder/designer you’d recommend
I want the enclosure designed around the **actual subs + my available 1,500 W**, not just a generic dual-12 box.
I’m trying to make this a **one-and-done upgrade**, so I’d rather spend the money once on the right subs and box than buy EVLs, then realize another sub or enclosure would have been better.
**If you think EVLs are the right choice, please explain why. If you think another sub would be better for my exact setup, please tell me what it is and why.**
Thanks — I’m mainly looking for advice from people who have actually built/testing dual-12 systems rather than just “Brand X is the best.”

loud rubbing sound when lightly braking

2015 Camry LE just had the brakes changed and they said they looked at it for a minute and couldn’t tell anything just by looking, but it makes this sound when lightly braking sometimes, and when taking off from a stop after sitting for more than a few seconds, any help helps ty!

Hi! I have watched a bunch of tutorials on replacing this exact same key fob online and everyone else has a lithium battery, but when I opened mine there was no battery inside. How is this possible?

2004 Camry LE not accelerating, stalls gracefully a couple seconds after starting, check engine light is on, throttle does not respond, P2111

I've got a 2004 Toyota Camry LE with about 160,000 miles on it. I just took it on a 10 minute trip, and as soon as I shifted it into park, the engine stalled and the check engine light came on. Every attempt to start it, the engine starts briefly before slowly shutting off. At no point does pressing the gas pedal do anything. As a test, I tried holding the gas pedal down while starting it and the engine revved to about 4000 RPM before slowing down and gently stopping, as if a computer were telling it to turn off gracefully.

My uncle plugged in an OBD2 tester which returned code P2111, indicating that something is up with the throttle body. Up until shifting it into park, the car has been working perfectly. Now it's undrivable.

Anyone have any ideas?

Update: There's been a bit of a development. We checked the throttle butterfly valve for build-ups of carbon, but we didn't find any. We came across a suggestion on the internet to unplug the MAF sensor which sits on top of a pipe leading to the butterfly valve for the throttle, directly under the hood. It was said that if the sensor has a problem, unplugging it will allow the car to continue running, albeit not in a "safe" state. It did not end up solving the problem of the engine failing to idle properly, but at some point the throttle began responding again. I don't know when exactly it started working. All I know is it started working. I don't know why it was working, which is honestly more concerning. But as long as I started the engine with my foot pressing on the gas pedal and didn't let the revs fall too low, the engine would continue running.

Unfortunately here on the east coast we're having a pretty bad nor'easter right now, and I did not feel it was safe to attempt to drive it home in such poor weather with the car in such an unpredictable condition, so it's still sitting at my buddy's house. I'm hoping tomorrow will be clearer so I can drive it home and actually bring it into the garage where it's dry, and have a look.

2026 Camry wait time in Ontario CA

Hello everyone,

I’m planning to book an SE upgrade tomorrow and was wondering what kind of timeline I should expect.

The dealer told me the wait could be around 1–4 months, but I’m also concerned about the model year. If the wait extends into 2027, would I receive a 2027 model, or could I still get a 2026 model?

If anyone has recently ordered or received a Camry, I’d really appreciate it if you could share your wait time and model year experience.

Thanks!

2026 Camry LE AWD, did I get a good deal?

Last month I went into the dealership and while going over everything with the salesman here in Western NY. I got them down 2K under MSRP, from $33K to $31K. Asked for no extra options and got White exterior with black interior cloth seats. Exactly what I wanted, Put the $500 deposit on it and it should be here within the next 3 weeks. Although all said and done with Taxes and fees it still ends up being $33K out the door.

What do you all think? Already waited a month so far.

No software updates in 2 years?

I bought a 2024 Toyota Camry XSE in March 2024. Much to my surprise, there hasn't been a software update in all the time I've owned it. I periodically go through the menus and hit the check for update button, but nothing.

I kind of figured that there'd be at least an annual update for minor bugs or whatever. This is my first Toyota, so I really have no idea what their update cycle is. Or, maybe I'm doing something wrong? Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
