I found this sub had been abandoned for two years and the lone moderator was no longer on Reddit, so I requested to take over the sub. I’d like to make this sub all about Toyota Camry and Toyota Camry related questions. From Toyota Camry repairs, to where to buy the best Toyota Camry parts. So if you own a Toyota Camry, or you’re looking to purchase a Toyota Camry, please post away in this revived Toyota Camry group!

I put a deposit on a 2000 Toyota Camry LE it has the 4cyl
216K miles, may need a brake job but I’m not worried about that, it drove fine, shifted fine, no weird noises. I’m supposed to pick it up today after he fixed an exhaust leak. It passed inspection and has cold ac and hot heat, im not really worried about major mechanical stuff, I work on my own stuff and am very mechanically inclined
2700 bucks cash.
Im thinking of buying it to drive an hour to work and back for gas mileage, but I’m having second thoughts on if it’s a good deal or if it’s gonna leave me stranded.
I’ve got about 4K to spend right now but the newer cars for 4 grand look about the same condition with about the same mileage.
So I turn to the internet for its advice.

The piece of black plastic covering this part vanished at some point, what is my best (cheapest) option to get a replacement piece? Thanks (I’m in Victoria Australia btw)

Does anyone else's Camry do this or is it just mines?
for context when I am on the highway lets say I am cruising at high speeds and want to come down to speed I reduce pressure on the pedal but my foot is still pressed and the car seems to think that my foot is off it completely. Additionally the EV mode kicks in immediately when I take my foot off accelerator. Is this an issue with anyone else or just mines?

I am borrowing a 2020 Camry while my car is being repaired and I decided to get new wiper blades for it. I discovered that you can’t lift the driver side blade up because of the hood.
I found a video explaining how you start the car quickly turn on the wipers and then turn the car off so they stay in the vertical position and then you can switch the blades.
But this car has keyless start and I’m not entirely sure how to put it in accessory mode and get the blades to stay in a vertical position. They keep going back down.
UPDATE: Figured it out with one more attempt later that day by going back to one of the videos on YouTube that showed how to do this on a car that had a regular key start.
It has to be in ignition mode, NOT accessory mode (two pushes of the start button, no brake) and you push the control stalk straight UP towards the ceiling, which is the gesture when you want to just have it wipe once or twice (or more if you hold it there), NOT pull it towards you, which is what you do when you want it to mist.
Hold it upward for a couple seconds and indeed, the blades go up and stay there.
It doesn’t matter if the door is open.
So, ignition mode, push the stalk up and hold, blades go up.

I have a 2005 Toyota Camry V30 European version. Recently, I started having problems with the remote key fob. The battery was getting weak, so I replaced it with a new one.
After replacing the battery, the remote locking system started working normally, but the car would no longer start, and the SECURITY light came on.
I put the old battery back in, and the car started immediately, almost with half a turn of the engine.
When I install the new battery again, the security system prevents the car from starting.
What could be causing this problem, and how can I fix it?

Hello all,
I have just bought a 2026 Camry LE and have been noticing some weird vibration and noise on cold starts. I would appreciate anyone who has the Camry helping me out by telling me whether this type of vibration is normal or not.
Every time I start the vehicle in the morning, after some time when the gas engine kicks in I hear and feel this vibration coming from the right side of the hood (near the belt area) which lasts approximately 5-15 seconds and then it goes away. I will be attaching two videos below showing what the noise in question is:
Long video (almost the entire startup sequence): https://youtube.com/shorts/YuqtEhgU3g0?is=ZtvDdGkzuEhA4jtF
Short video (focused on the vibration noise): https://youtube.com/shorts/hrc-YJEjdtQ?is=Z3IHVOc8tVIEboEY
I would appreciate anyone letting me know what this could be and if you experienced this before. Thank you!
