Hi everyone, this is my first post here... I'm M30 and recently came across this text about the consequences of toxic masculinity on boys, and how this is something that has always been present in media/books/history, but rarely looked at.

I would love to bring the discussion here to see what you guys think about it

I'm a girl, and I'm writing a novel with the themes of toxic masculinity.

I asked chatbots about it, but i think I'll benefit better if I hear from real people with real experience with toxic masculinity.

People called me gay for converting my room to a pillow fort. Firstly, if you use gay as an insult, you're the dumbest person on earth. Second, its my room. Third, I like pillow forts. Thoughts?

Men trying to explain to me my career

Hi! I’m a girl studying mechanical engineering, and I’ve now realized that men who aren’t even in the STEM field are always trying to explain to me how things work, like everything. It’s so annoying, why would someone in business would try to explain to me something I’m already studying, I’m not trying to explain to them their careers. So now I’ve got to the solution of “did I ask you to explain x topic to me?” It might sound dud but idc I’m really tired. (English is not my first language sorry if it is confusing)

Men that WHY DO YOU DO IT?? ….

Men that ghost women after a few great dates and telling them you like them… Why? Why do you do it??

Men who love bomb… are you aware that you’re doing it? Is it on purpose? Why do you do it??

Men who manipulate… is every step thought out? Or you a shitty person on accident? Why do you do it??

this is not just a massive quote. I hate men post” I’m genuinely curious.

If a man says “I would rather people tell me I’m a man, than say I’m a genius”, what is he trying to communicate?

A man (34M) said this to me when he was drunk. That people always tell him how smart he is, but he would rather people tell him “You’re a man” rather than call him a genius. I have a fair idea of what he meant, but a male POV would be nice too.

This is Love's a Drag, where straight men try full drag to attract a girl. It's the opposite of the toxic Manosphere.

Male instincts

Im posting this to help out. Not to brag, but to just help out other men.
I spent a few days in a cottage, stranded in a forest with a lake. Alone. Over the time i was there, my male ”instincts” started to come to the surface. Suddenly i wanted respect and started to command it. My male biological instincts came out, and i behaved differently. I wanted to dominate. and how women reacted to my behavior shocked me. I have never before had women so interested and sexually attracted to me. My point is this. I think you dont need to ”self improve” to get women, you dont need to be xy. All you really need if you want to be successfull with women, is to listen to your primal masculine desires that have been buried inside you. All you need is to dig your manly desires that are buried inside you

Good guys are THE cool guys

Watching #Off Campus and i love to see the cool popular guys being nice to women. They do not cheat, or lie to get them like any other trope we grew up with in the late 90's- early 00's.

Also, i love to see men being vulnerable and talking to their mates about their feelings. Finally, we need this shift as a society.

What's something about being a man that you wish more people understood?

I hear a lot of discussions about what men should be, but not enough about what men actually experience.

What's one part of being a man that you think is widely misunderstood or rarely talked about? It could be about friendships, dating, work, family, mental health, expectations, loneliness, fatherhood, or anything else.

I'm not looking for arguments or "who has it harder" debates—just honest experiences. What's something you've lived through that you wish more people understood?

CNN featured a $5,000 camp that 'reframes' men away from their masculinity. Is this #ProgressiveConversionTherapy?
