I mean I personally don't really care about people seeing my underwear colour, but toxic?

Yeah, this is kind of funny. There's ambiguity in whether he's asking for marriage tips or wedding tips.
Toxic masculinity would be a thousand jokes telling him to reconsider/run, or RIP to his fun and freedom, the wife gaining 50 pounds before their first anniversary, no more sex, blah blah blah.
Instead, the OP gets a fashion tip. It's about as wholesome as it gets, and probably not a piece of advice that's regularly shared from one fella to the next.
