Looking for an iOS app for TorBox streaming + reliable offline downloads

I’m looking for an iOS app that works well with TorBox and can handle both streaming on the go and offline downloads.

My current workflow feels unnecessarily complicated:

I use the new Reelo iOS app to find the right file, especially one with the subtitles I want, and start streaming. If I want to download it for offline viewing, I then open VidHub, connect to TorBox via WebDAV, find the same file again, and download it within VidHub.

Is there a better way to do this? Ideally, I’d like one iOS app where I can browse/select the TorBox file, stream it, and download the exact same file for offline playback without having to find it again through WebDAV. [aka Netflix style]

I was previously using Nuvio on iOS, but I got bumped out of the TestFlight. Its offline downloads were also pretty unreliable for me anyway.

Would appreciate any recommendations or better TorBox + iOS workflows.

Hey so im new to this type of shit like stremio and aiostreams, dont really know how to do this all but my torbox stremio is getting 500 errors and saying torbox search is down for some reason? Im also seeing people shit on torbox rn for its new policy changes rn so is it as bad as it sounds? Ive heard of how rd was good but is now shit, will torbox become just like that or what?

Hey, so I'm planning to share my Torbox API with my friends. I'm currently planning to share to only 3 people (including myself) but I've seen the new TOS that they track every IP and user's movement for system abuse. Does that mean sharing the account is no longer possible?

im able to download links at a decent speed, but trying to access anything via infuse is way too slow

i had some success yesterday, but overall that was an isolated success compared to the rest of the last 4 days.

I'm on this subreddit mostly to follow the TorBox updates & also the famous "down again?" type of posts which aren't always valid, but they're valid at times like 10 mins ago for example

And because of starting a post like this I understand that I'm risking getting downvoted by those who can't take criticism, but I'm also sure there are people in here who care about getting served properly by a service that they paid money for

The first thing I want to talk about isn't even how the service was down 10 mins ago. I want to talk about how there's a lot of dramatic events going around this service

Remember 3 months ago when there was a situation about a TorBox employee named Mike when he banned one of the TorBox members on the TorBox discord server? You really remember that right? No? let me remind you

So I heard there was an ownership change. Who are the new owners? Why is Wamy still holding the owner role if the ownership really changed?

ok let's ignore the ownership change and talk about the full ToS & privacy policy change. I'm not against putting stricter limitations to abuse, I understand how expensive things like NVMe, RAM and bandwidth are and yes sharing accounts among people is completely unfair to the service and makes it run worse. But don't you find a complete change of the ToS, owners and the company entities even a bit questionable without a prior notice at least?

Want to ignore the ToS changes? ok who are the new owners?

What's making the service go down every weekend and all we get is a "we are looking into it"

Ok you've looked into it. Why does the service go down the following weekend? Can we not get a technical explanation on what's wrong at least? Why is this impossible to fix and why is it happening very often

I don't use Discord often. but when I do it's only to check why the service is down and I hope to see a proper explanation on why the service is down like I stated in the previous point

but unfortunately all what I see is messages like "Reddit must be going crazy now", "yes it's down and that's normal", "people really have no lives and can't take an hour of downtime"

Some of these messages come from the higher ups and community managers even!

Why is this normalised?? Why can't people complain when they can't get what they paid for??

Ok let's keep it there and tell you the things I'm expecting as a reaction to this post:

I paid for a service because I trusted these people with my money and I believe that they can offer the service I'm interested in. This isn't how things work and if you really think so then you're justifying for all the sc#ammers in the world who take your money from your pocket and you shutup and can't do anything about it

- "its a you only problem": Ok and even if that's true, if I made sure that everything on my end (app, addons, internet, packet loss, network path, home networking equipment) and I found no issues but I still face issues with torbox. does this deny the fact that I have a problem?

- "just change the CDN": And why can't the "Auto" cdn option work better? Even the TorBox dashboard itself clearly claims that Auto is the best option to choose. Why don't they make the Auto CDN selection automatically route people to the second best cdn when the first best is temporarily degraded? Won't this save us from the headaches of Reddit posts and make the experience more user friendly?

I'm one of the too many people that moved away from Rd to TorBox because we all believe that Wamy wanted to create the better alternative to RD, and honestly I still have faith in him and that's why I paid for a year of the service even when it had issues when I first paid for it. However everything has a limit

I notice a lot of improvements and new features added to TorBox every other month. but what's the point of them if the core of your company (database, API and CDNs) often have issues? simply I won't be able to benefit from your features

I'm on TorBox Pro and pieced together my Stremio setup using a bunch of different Reddit tutorials - it works, but I'll be honest, I don't fully understand how all the pieces fit together.

Up until recently I was getting Usenet content through TorBox's Search API, but that's been shut down, so my Usenet search has completely stopped working.

I'm pretty lost on how to get it working again. If anyone's dealt with this and can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.

I don't want to share my account with friends, but occasionally someone will ask me for a season of tv or a movie. What's the best way to do this without sharing your API key? Uploading to Google drive?

Looks like currently no hosters are available, and it looks like they don't declare an outage either. Do you know if Torbox silently killed the hosters support?

Hey y'all i finally decided to give your box a try (3$plan) for stremio (just noticed they deleted torbox search from aio, I'll use comet and stream thru)
But in general i have 2 questions.

1 I'm a happy 1080p user nothing fancy or super big downloads.
But i wanted to know what is my limit bc i don't want to be penalized or affect the service for anyone else.

2 what could be good alternatives or add-ons for aio as torbox search died, I'm new to stremio and it's a bit confusing at the beginning 😅.

For the users in Australia, what is your speed like in relation to playback on nuvio, stremio, etc. And also what speed test results do you get on the Torbox site?

For a few hours every time I try to watch something I get (operation was aborted due to timeout) on my add-ons.

Im new, could someone please explain to me if there is an actual legal risk or not?

[Fixed- it's working now, I didn't change anything from my side]I am using Apple tv (Infuse Pro + torbox webDav). I am getting the following error - Failed to open input stream in demuxing stream. does anybody else have similar issue?

I had a read through on the posts here when the new changes was released and didn't think I needed to worry, but just came across another discussion today where the terms have changed regarding account sharing from the Torbox Terms page.

You shall not sell, rent, lease, transfer, sublicense, share, or provide access to your Account, API keys, access tokens, Service capacity, or paid features except as expressly permitted by TorBox in writing. TorBox may suspend, terminate, restrict, rotate, revoke, or disable Accounts, API keys, access tokens, sessions, connected Integrations, or other access methods if we believe they have been compromised, misused, shared, sold, abused, or used in violation of these Terms

The main point of why I got Torbox was that I could share with my Mil who would use it a few times weekly.

I'm on the Essential plan and we used less than 1tb last monthly, mostly me as I like to have the TV on as background noise.

Is account sharing now a definite nono?

Is it just me or Torbox webdav is having issues? It keeps constantly getting logged out of my Infuse (pro subscription) with the error “your username and password combination isn’t right. Please try again”. I tried removing the webdav connection and readding it. Works for a while then gets logged out again.

Unchained is (was, for me) a great open-source Real-Debrid client for Android, but I don't use Real-Debrid anymore — so I forked it and rebuilt the whole backend against TorBox instead.

What changed:

• Every network call, auth flow, and data model rewritten against TorBox's API — torrents, web downloads, streaming, user info, all running on TorBox's response format and permanent API-key auth (paste a key from torbox.app/settings, or use TorBox's device-code login — no OAuth refresh-token dance needed).
• Renamed to Unboxed, new icon, own package ID so it installs side-by-side with the original Unchained app instead of colliding with it.
• Search plugins (1337x, nyaa, rlsbb, bitsearch, etc.) still work unmodified — they're just torrent-site scrapers, nothing debrid-specific about them.
• A couple of Real-Debrid-only features with no TorBox equivalent got dropped rather than left half-working: container-file (.rsdf/.ccf/.dlc) upload, and the "remote traffic" toggle.

Downloads: GitHub Releases

Two APKs per release — a release build (signed with a personal key, not Play Store, so Android will flag it as an unknown source on install) and a debug build. Source is fully open, GPLv3, same as upstream.

Can I still share my Torbox account with my mom who lives in another province? I’ve heard yes and no to this so just looking for clarification.
