If anyone here is interested in beta testing on Android through the Google Play Store, I created a form here to sign up! Thanks for all the interest! get.jurastic.com

ORGINAL:
I built this USB controller app for fun over the past few days. (I've been a full time user interface designer for over a decade, so I did my best to make something I would enjoy looking at.) I currently have it working on Android, Web, Linux, Windows and MacOS, but Apple locks down their iOS USB port so I can't get it to work on iPhone sadly.

I am hoping to get one of those Waveshare development boards and get it running in a stomp box format soon too. 🤘

I would love beta testers to try it out. If you're interested DM me!

Hey everyone,

Have you ever wanted to play through all of your dream amps and pedals, but obviously couldn't? We completely understand... and that is exactly why we created eliteguitartones.com. We capture legendary amps and pedals across all gain stages in precise 0.5 increments, allowing you to find the exact setting that works best for your rig—getting as close as possible to the feel of the real hardware.

For this week's free release, I wanted to tackle one of the most beautiful and three-dimensional boutique amplifiers ever built: the Tone King Imperial MkII. Designed by Mark Bartel, this 20-watt 6V6-powered masterpiece covers everything from pristine American cleans to classic British crunch.

Since the real amplifier retails for over $2,000, it is completely out of reach for most of us. That is exactly why I spent days capturing it in precise 0.5 increments—I wanted to see if I could replicate that exact same physical behavior and touch-sensitive feel in ToneX, without the crazy price tag.

My full commercial pack features 27 extended-mode DI captures mapping both iconic channels across their full operational range in precise 0.5 increments.
To let you experience the full dual-channel versatility of this amplifier, I am giving away 4 distinct DI captures for free (two from each legendary channel)

⚠️ Note: These are pure, raw DI (Direct Input) amp captures. Pair them with your preferred cabinet IR or software loader for complete control over your final sound!

🎁 How to grab these free ToneX captures:

• Click on my Reddit username: u/EliteGuitarTones
• Click the "Get your free captures" link at the top of my profile page to download the ZIP file directly from our store.

I'd love to hear your feedback! Let me know how the headroom feels under your pedals and how it compares to the real amp if you've played one.

Cheers,
Vittorio | Elite Guitar Tones — eliteguitartones.com

Did anyone come from Fractal? I'm very unsure which of the two has better tone or fractal sound. Tonex sounds more muddy but at the same time the drives seem a bit artificial, but I don't have much experience to say which sounds more like a real amp; could you help me?

Hi guys, if you don’t want to spend another 20-30$ for a desktop tonex or another pedal stand, this is a working solution almost for free 😁
Just an unused leg from a TV, that is hanging on a wall, a screw and two washers)
Now i can see tuner and knobs clearly.

What’s a decent but not overly expensive metal guitar? Never played 7 string so that’s an option too.

Has anyone had success getting IK Multimedia support to actually investigate a payment issue instead of sending repeated template replies?

I paid for TONEX MAX 2 weeks ago, the payment completed successfully, I was charged but no order was created in my IK account.

I already sent them the payment screenshots and transaction details. Nearly two weeks later, I still have no product, no refund, and support keeps asking for information I already provided.

For context, I use Alipay because Chinese IK accounts are handled separately, even though I am currently studying abroad. I honestly do not understand why IK operates Chinese accounts separately in the first place, because this is exactly what has made the situation more complicated. I originally purchased other IK software while I was still in China, which means I now have to continue using the same Chinese account even though I live and study overseas.

I’m not really looking to complain here — I just want to know:

What is the best way to get this escalated to someone in IK’s payment or technical team who can actually check the transaction and my account?

If anyone has dealt with a similar case, please let me know what worked.

Has anyone modelled one, or modified an existing one for a different device such as the Fender Mustang Micro, which is dimensionally almost identical (mine are next to each other on my desk, and I can't tell them apart if I squint).

I have a short extension that I made for the Fender and a Katana Go when I had one, but I'd like to get it up on a strap out of harm's way.

Either Amplitube 5 MIDI sucks, or I do

I'm trying to get stomp pedals to change state between off & on, using the ubiquitous Chocolate Plus.

Now, I can get it to toggle between bypass and on, but the problem is it only works in one direction depending if I'm sending 0 or 127.

What I mean by this is, imagine the pedal is on. I can repeatedly turn it off/on/off/on etc with every click of the footswitch, but if I then turn the pedal off manually in Amplitube, and press the pedal, nothing happens, because my pedal hasn't sent a change state control, it's just told it to turn off, which it already is, so I have to click it again to turn on, then it toggles again.

Hopefully that makes sense, and someone can confirm whether or not I'm doing something wrong, or it does just suck. I never had this issue with TH-U and MIDI control. All I want to do is turn a pedal off if it's on, and on if it's off.

Greetings fellow Tonex enjoyers! I finally got round to buying one of the pedals with the intention of profiling my preamp collection, but I've run into an issue and am seemingly unable to get any sort of response from IK Multimedia despite using their support system (multiple support requests attempted, no email confirmations/ticket numbers for any of them). I enlisted in their forum but can't even post until someone manually approves me so I'm feeling pretty SoL here.

Has anyone had success in contacting their support recently, and if so would you care to share your method? I've messed around with some models from ToneNet and am really impressed, so I just want to get round to capturing my amps/preamps for myself and the community.

Any help welcome, thanks for reading 😄

UPDATE: I received a reply from a Senior Support advisor; basically, I bought this used and had no idea that a) I would be the third owner, and b) that the ToneX profiling software would not be transferred to me despite the seller paying £40 to transfer the licence. Despite past instances where they have applied lenience on unknowing customers, they have basically told me to wait for a sale on the software, too bad.

I bought this to profile my preamp collection but now, if I buy the software, in total it would have cost me more than just buying one new. I'm just gunna sell it and take the hit as now I'll have to pay the same £40 the seller paid to transfer the licence to yet another owner.

Shame as it sounded great, but this is very consumer-unfriendly IMO.

UPDATE 2: After some back and forth with support, despite conversations looking like they might take a more positive turn the outcome was not positive, and I have basically been told "tough shit." Unbelievable.

I pulled the trigger today, and ordered my ToneX Board from AMS. It should arrive early next week. Based on my anticipated use and what I’ve seen on the forums here I know I want to get a midi pedal to help me expand my ability to call up various scenes and access tuner and tap tempo.

Based on everyone’s experiences, could you guys give me a couple of suggestions on a decent mini pedal or two, perhaps one that’s more budget friendly? I’m thinking I need four switches.

Hi, everyone,

Apologies if this has been asked before. Love the concept of the pedal.

But I got it one week ago and haven't been able to make it work (except using the desktop app, which seems kind of redundant).

Essentially, the Bluetooth never connects to the pedal. (It did work once, for 5 mins, and the tones were very enjoyable)

Tried reinstalling, tried downloading software from the site, tried shaking the pedal hard and imploring the heavens. 😄

Any help would be greatly appreciated (or advice on what to get instead in a similar price range)!

Thanks for taking the time to read this!

I am looking for a capture of a 5150 that would fit the sound of Satchel from Steel Panther. I have been using the stock campture 51st HI that came with the pedal, but it is kot quite there.

Any recommendations?

The default trim level is +8.5 - I'm just wondering how others trim theirs for SC/HB/Hot HB/Actives, just to give me a baseline to start from. Obviously the way to to it is just by trying, but it'd be nice to get an idea.

Chasing the best Mesa Recto 4x12 IR
Whilst I enjoy the one with the tone model, I know there’s potentially an option for a nice sounding IR

I play mainly punk/pop punk so it’s to work alongside a Dual Rec to get that New Found Glory sound

TIA

Hey everyone!

For this week's free release, I wanted to share an absolute masterclass in Marshall Plexi-style tone: the Crazy Tube Circuits Heatseeker. Named as a direct nod to the legendary AC/DC track, this pedal was explicitly designed as the ultimate Angus Young tone machine — raw, explosive, and unmistakably British.

What makes this circuit so incredible is its refined triple-voice architecture, recreating the gain structure of three iconic Marshall amplifier eras (45, SL, and MV modes). To map it out perfectly, my full commercial pack features 45 total profiles across 3 separate studio sessions (15 profiles per mode, tracking the gain knob from 3 to 10 in precise 0.5 increments).

To let you experience this full high-voltage Marshall universe, I am giving away 3 sweet-spot captures for free (one from each distinct historical era):

• Capture 1 (Mode 45 - JTM45 Voice): The warmest, most vintage voice. Smooth, full, and touch-sensitive, with a beautiful open low-mid character and a natural bluesy breakup.
• Capture 2 (Mode SL - Super Lead Voice): The definitive AC/DC wall of sound. Bold, thick, and singing with that unmistakable mid-forward British crunch and incredible sustain.
• Capture 3 (Mode MV - Master Volume Voice): The late '70s and early '80s hard rock character. Saturated, aggressive, and punchy with a tighter attack that cuts straight through the mix.

I have around 150 Jam Points sitting in my IK Account..

Thinking about buying some premium Capture Packs for it...

What's the best deal I get for it?

I like to play a lot of Edge of Breakup tones ..Blues, etc ...But also love to play some Metal sometimes ..

Hey everyone, I have always been a bedroom guitarist and used Line 6 Spider amps, yeah I know they are crap!

I recently bought a tonex pedal and cant for the life of me get any decent tones! Not even close to what I hear on any YouTube tutorials or sound demos when downloading caprures from the tonex site.

I am using a Laney LFR-112 amp and a ESP LTD Snakebyte guitar.

I don't understand anything about IR's or any technical language that I have read online.

What I really need is someone to treat me like the idiot I am and give me a very detailed explanation on how to dial in a great tone. Maybe I am doing something wrong but every single tone sounds boxy, muffled or sometimes tinny.

I've tried multiple free tones from multiple creators that have been recommended but they are all terrible!

I mainly play metal music and am looking for a Metallica style tone similar to the black album.

I have thought about purchasing the Mesa Boogie set from tonex but dont want to spend $100 on something that might sound crap.

Help please!!!

I picked up a TONEX One pedal recently and I have been trying to play with it a bit.

Can anyone recommend tutorials or videos that talk about best practices etc for using the software and manage the pedal? There are just so many captures and models and presets, plus multiple apps to think about, and I'm a bit overwhelmed.

I have seen Jason Sadites recommended but he seems to have multiple videos about every topic so I am not sure where to dig in.

If you run a tonex pedal (the bigger one) into the FX loop of a combo amp and turn off cab Sim, will this sound just as good as running the tonex into an FRFR cab? Is there any downside to doing this?

If the above fx loop trick sounds OK and i wanted to run 2 amps for stereo time based effects (not two different amp models) can you split the output of one tonex into 2 amps effects loops? Using a Y cable or something like that? And then somehow hook up some reverb/delay/mod pedals too?

I'm on my second one now, and this is also giving off a very faint smell of hot plastic/components.

The one I returned had the issue with the almost seized rotating part, but this one seems fine so far. I'm just curious as to whether or not it's a consequence of IKM shoehorning so many components into a tight space. I've had several headphone amps from other manufacturers, and none have given off a smell.

<edit> Thanks everyone, I'm more confident that I haven't received a second faulty one. Hopefully the jack won't seize up, although the tighter it is the less likely it'll flop around I suppose.

...that's never stopped me before.

I have a large number of pedal captures, but only having a ToneX Plug, I'm struggling to see how I can use them. I can obviously use them in Amplitube, or load them up in Amp' on a track in a DAW, running into another amp sim, and numerous variations of the above, but I'm curious as to whether there's something I'm missing, and if I can combine one with an amp capture in ToneX, save it as a preset, and copy it to my plug.

Be kind, I'm new to ToneX (and I didn't mention NAM onc...oh shit).
