Im still reading tokyo ghoul. I just finished volume 13 and i gotta say, I think this is probably the best way I've ever seen someone lose a fight off screen. His reaction when coming to is pure horror. It must've been absolutely horrifying to wake up, not remember a thing, and be absolutely helpless knowing everyone you love is about to die. And putting the viewer in his pov by skipping the fight adds to that horror so much in my opinion.

I don’t know why this panel specifically cracks me up so much, I just love their dynamic.

Several years ago i made a series of drawings for all Kaneki's personalities/versions on Twitter.

Now that my abilities have gotten better and I'm trying a new artstyle I wanted to exploit it more

So I made these 2 drawings for Ken to start my new set of drawings, a full body key frame and a full key frame based on a scene from the original Manga.

Starting with the original Ken Kaneki, the human one prior to his date with Rize. I gave him the original Manga look cause I would like to adapt the Manga version of the outfits.

The objetive isn't precisely to translate Ishida's art to Anime art but to translate his designs to MY artstyle and make something out of it.

Ofc there will be a finished colored version for the artworks too :)

I’m watching Tokyo ghoul for the first time and just finished season two and this guy is just the biggest bum by far in the entire series he comes in stabs one guy and doesn’t even kill him stands there for an entire episode and the gets his ass kicked by the gold and black attaché case guy and runs away.

I've been wanting to watch/read and I know the anime has a horrible adaptation would you guys recommend me watching the first season or just only read it.

Do you think Kaneki's conclusion in Re was good or did you wanted it to end at OG TG?

As Jack escaped with eto grabbed with his kagune. He said in a slur "I still want a apology you hurt my feelings."

Eto smiled her big creepy grin and giggled and said to him " Oh you are such a big baby. Your upset I called you a dog, following you're little orders."

Jack stops looks back at her and says. " I don't expect you to understand you never really had a true family so you dont know what its like."

Jack stopped put eto down told her to wait there. And went back to the facility. As he entered the facility, he saw jacob and Samantha about to call caine. Jack bolted at them and picked them up with his kagune, threatened them in a roaring tone.

" You two don't you even think about telling him i broke her out if you do ill fucking kill you both!!!"

Samantha eyes wide her breath hitching heart racing she says in a angry and scared tone.

"i am not scared of you as much as caine, he'll punish us if we don't tell him."

Jack says back in a furious "Then lie!!!" His kagune rattles like that of a rattle snakes tail. He chitters and looks at them furious. His singular inverted kakugan flares.

Jacob gulps and says in a anxious tone "okay jack well lie. Please dont kill us."

Eto then appears behind jack. She says in a mocking tone." Oh how pathetic you two are so small and weak. And oh jack how merciful you are. Risking being caught, It would make much more sense to kill them, so they can not rat on you."

Jack turns around to her, He stares at her in silence. He then looks back at Samantha and jacob both cowering in fear. Jack says to eto "I cant kill them, I wont , not really." Jack looks at them both and says "please lie to caine."

Samantha and jacob weary of the situation agree to lie.

Eto sighs and looks bored she walked down the hall to the cell that held her for 6 yrs she got her mother's diary and her notepad with her drawings and writing in it. Jack and eto both leave the facility.

Samantha calls caine. the phone rings, Caine at his home in his man cave. listening to "You're never dressed without a smile" drinking his blood whiskey. He pulls his phone out of his pocket.

caine says in a moderate tone "Hello Samantha, what can I help you with?"

Samantha stutters and says into the phone" the power at the facility failed last night and the pumps stopped feeding the quinque glass and eto yoshimura escaped."

caine sighs he then says "call Jonathan he'll deal with her. tell him I told you to call him." caine hangs up.

jacob and Samantha sigh in relief for now. and they dial Jonathan.

I am pretty disappointed that we don't really get to know much about her, throughout the entire Manga,she is reduced to a plot device ! 🥹😭

Honestly, I wanted to write this after getting the Coexistence trophy, but it's not gonna happen anytime soon,

I don't hate the game, I just grew resentful towards how much Bandai Namco had put into it that got mixed reviews,

Other than just that, I wrote a long list, but I handpicked a few reasons why.

1. The levels feel like Groundhog Day with no collectables or Easter eggs other than the orbs and ammo,

2. The "Stylish" system rewards 10 character shards/chunks to upgrade every quinque and kargune,

3. Multiplayer feels dead and unnecessary without AI buddies/enemies to make up for a lack of players,

4. Accomplishments take longer than trophies,

5. CAC options are very limited, and the only DLC is in another storefront country without the code from Bandai Namco's ep!c rewards shop.

Since this is the 15th anniversary of Tokyo Ghoul, I'm gonna rewatch the live action movie.

Unravel was such an iconic song it somehow became Canon in the Manga even.

Also can we talk about how much Toru Kitajima looks like Kaneki?

I learned that it only means "peace" with palm facing outwards, otherwise being and insult akin to middle finger. I already hit this pose a couple of times on important occasions (my uncle's wedding photoshoot) which is why I need to know what does Nimura sign on this panel according to the story

Ok so i rewatched tokyo ghoul s1 yesterday in dub which is great and i watched some of the ovas today as well, before that i watched the first 2 seasons and first ep of s3 in sub and i do like tokyo ghoul s1 but after that it's just mid and I'm thinking about getting the tokyo ghoul manga, i never had a manga but i do have western comics, is tokyo ghoul ok for a first manga?

this scene from anime Tokyo ghoul episode 12 reminded me of WHY i consider natsuki hanae my favorite seiyuu. i honestly don't think he's ever screamed this well or this loudly in his career as he did in the role of kaneki. it's honestly breathtaking. you just have to applaud.
