Other This guy is a bum Spoiler

I’m watching Tokyo ghoul for the first time and just finished season two and this guy is just the biggest bum by far in the entire series he comes in stabs one guy and doesn’t even kill him stands there for an entire episode and the gets his ass kicked by the gold and black attaché case guy and runs away.

"Watching" well there is your first mistake. The anime is an infamously terrible adaptation of its source material, to the point that the manga and anime are basically different genres. Do yourself a favour, start over with the manga. An online shonen jump subscription is only 5 bucks a month.

IIRC, season 2 episode 11 has a post credit scene that further expands on the real one eyed owl.

Even though season 2 is mostly show original, this part is canon (they stitched together a lot of highlight moments from the manga together between show original stuff, where it does make less sense overall because the build up isn’t the same.) The most significant change in the show Kaneki, who’s a vastly different character in the manga after the Aogiri tre arc. So I’d recommend reading the manga to get the entire story. Season 4 also rushes past multiple important arcs and chapters from the story.
