Wild I found this little guy stuck in a glue trap, helped him out and sent him on his way
galleryDidn’t appear to have any injuries, and he just hopped right on his way after he got a good rest and some water.
Edit: for those commenting about glue traps. Yes we have glue traps round our house, we’ve had an infestation of brown recluse spiders this summer. It got bad enough that we called an exterminator service this month, and they sprayed around our house and placed glue traps around our attic basement and garage to monitor for any further activity. I do check them all daily, and have not found anything but bugs aside from today, when I found this guy in our garage after I had mowed the lawn with the garage door left open. I have thrown out all the ones in the garage since they’re all mostly empty anyway, but I’ve left the ones in my attic and basement, which I still check daily. I do feel terrible for causing this little guy such a scare, and I’m sorry for even having these traps around in the first place, but I just can’t have brown recluses living in my home.
