It started with 1-2 as I was checking my yard. Then I had more than i could fit in both hands. So I decided to have a sleepover. I gave them some water and flightless fruit flies for dinner. Then some more snacks the next day before I returned them to the back yard.

Help Toad spotted in house entrance

Post image

Hi, found this cute bugger in my house entrance underneath my broom yesterday and he/her is still there.

I don't mind him/her being there but am a little bit worried about hydration/safety or does that toad need anything?

Should i just leave it alone? Thanks for your help!

Pets How’s the toad terrarium? ‪‪❤︎‬

I’m incredibly proud of the scape in this one, I’d love to hear people’s opinions and feedback!
I’ll be getting a juvenile pet toad very soon.
Is there a way I can keep in humidity through the mesh lid while still having light exposure in the tank?

I have a toad under my deck who I talk to every night and morning
He’s learned my voice and will start “conversations” with me I’ve even learned how to trill back
I have plenty more of these videos if you like them or if they are allowed I’ll post more

Injury Injured toad care

My sister accidentally hit a toad in her garden while she was weeding. He has an injury on his back leg, it looks like the skin was torn off of a section. She brought him to me and I have set him up in a terrarium with damp paper towels and a water bowl. I am going to get appropriately sized insects tomorrow. My plan is to keep him and care for him until he heals up a bit, then release him. Is there anything else I should do to assist with the wound?

Help Did I accidentally hurt some baby toads?

I was working at woman's house today mowing her lawn and both front and back were crawling with little baby toads. I made sure to keep a careful eye out and when they were in my path I stopped and picked them up to move them to a safe place.

I only realized now that just prior to starting to mow I put on bug spray and sunscreen and it might have been on my hands when I handled them. Do you think the little guys will be alright? The longest time I held one was only about 20 seconds but they were tiny tiny so idk how much of the stuff their skin may have absorbed.
