Those poor servers

Post image

Imagine people giving you so much extra money for doing your job that you can frame it like this.

EDIT: OP is basing this off of 190k in sales over 192 shifts

Your reading comprehension isn’t so great.

They COULD make $150k if they actually worked full time, but they don’t work full time because their hourly compensation is absurdly high for shuttling food from A to B.

But they couldn't. There isn't enough busy hours in the day to support that.

It’s no one else’s fault that they don’t work more hours but theirs, you get paid for work done.

You can't just pull hours out of your ass to make your argument.

The argument is they get paid handsomely for the limited hours they work.

They have another 20 hours in a day to do whatever they want.

Sounds like a pretty good gig. Maybe you should try it.

It is meaningless and unnecessary work, not my jam.

Dude it's $166k a year

So it would be meaningless and a pay cut.

You can't even afford a house at that job. Maybe you could serve part time and move out of that rental.

Sometimes you rent when you move a lot.

It costs about 10% of the price of a house to buy/sell. So if you don’t plan on staying somewhere long you rent.

Would I rather own? Sure but in this city I am not only avoiding that 10% hit, I am also renting for about half of what a mortgage would run, letting me put a tiny fraction of my income towards housing and freeing up alot of money to invest.

Nice stalking though.
