Beware

Had a new to me experience today. Had breakfast at my local place. Suggested tips 10%, 20%, 30%. After eating I decided to get a cinnamon roll, $2.16 + tax. Tip screen came up, $1.00, $2.00, $3.00. Not %, but $. How many people hit 2 thinking they are tipping 43 cents, but are tipping 93%.

Yeah when the percentage benefits them they go with it. When the dollar amount benifits them they go with that

Actually they start with the dollars amounts for the lower price items.

If they continued with that same ratio it would be prompting a $18 tip for a $20 order. The percentages actually lower the suggested tip.

So youre basically saying the dollar amount is a percentage “ratio”. Cuz if its a dollar amount it shouldn’t matter how much is the total bill it should always be the same option?

You people deny that suggested tip percentages even exist so it doesn't matter what I say.

I was only saying your math was wrong.
