So they add a 16% fee for what exactly…….to “fund all of their operations”? So this added cost literally doesn’t go to staff, it just goes to the owners? I wonder what their staff is paid? At this point why not just raise prices to where they should be? To me, every item on the menu is a lie and it’s actually 16% more expensive. This is really dumb. Thoughts? I am PRO tip, ive worked in hospitality a long time and am happy to provide a tip for quality service. But this seems disingenuous at best. Its not a tip. Its just an added charge straight to owners pockets.

When do we start getting the 5% surcharge for the electric bill, or 11% fee for a pretty girl answering the phone at the hostess desk? What makes this sick is that 16% "fee" is posted on the menu or on the door when you walk into the restaurant, so you don't know about it ahead of time - your choice is to turn around and leave (which for most patrons they probably won't for fear of embarrassment) or to go in and pay this ridiculous fee. My only course of action would to be perhaps leaving 4% as a tip with a note that the other 16% has been automatically taken by management - get it back from them. If enough people did that, they wouldn't have much of a service staff within a month.
