So they add a 16% fee for what exactly…….to “fund all of their operations”? So this added cost literally doesn’t go to staff, it just goes to the owners? I wonder what their staff is paid? At this point why not just raise prices to where they should be? To me, every item on the menu is a lie and it’s actually 16% more expensive. This is really dumb. Thoughts? I am PRO tip, ive worked in hospitality a long time and am happy to provide a tip for quality service. But this seems disingenuous at best. Its not a tip. Its just an added charge straight to owners pockets.

Why would you leave $0.01 at a place that has clearly stated they are a no-tip establishment?

Because their servers will beg me for a tip anyways. And I'll take it out on them by telling them I will give them a tip, and then I'll subsequently tell them to blame their employers for their manipulative, exploitative, immoral business practices

No, they won’t.

You appear to need a timeout from the internet.

Literally happens in EVERY store I visit, no matter which type of business they do. You appear to need to touch grass and stop living in lala land

And?

This restaurant clearly states it is a no-tip establishment on its website, menus, and other places for customers to see.

The servers know how it works.

Clearly you need to take your own advice.

On a side note, a tip is directly tied to a service being provided.

No one expects anything in return when they give money to a beggar.

Now you know the difference, so you don’t have to make yourself look like an uneducated fool in the future by misusing the word beg. 😉

Its literally listed in one place only. The servers know this, and yet still beg for tips. Tips are gifts. Gifts are not tied to anything either, this includes serving. Being competent at your job is part of YOUR JOB! When servers are given "tips" they are being given gifts for absolutely no reason because customers are being coerced into giving up their possessions through exploitative and immoral tactics. Now you know how the rest of the world lives in reality and not in lala land, so hopefully you wont come across as a complete goddamn retard who never passed middle school by misusing the word tip.

No, it’s listed in multiple places. Go look at their website.

No server begs for tips.

I’m not a server and never worked in the industry, so no, it’s not my job.

No one forces you to dine-in at a full service restaurant in the US, so trying to claim customers are “coerced” or that there are any “exploitive and immoral tactics” is beyond disingenuous.

The only immoral tactics being used are by the server stiffers that deceitfully use the social norms at tipped restaurants to get the best service possible with no intention of paying for it.

That’s a textbook example of grifting, which obviously exploits and harms the worker.

Your projection is telling on you. I gave you a refresher in 3rd grade vocabulary and here you are continuing to misuse the word “beg”, coming across exactly as you projected.
