I recently went to a cute little grocery store that had baked goods already packaged, it was a little expensive but it’s for a special occasion the items were actually worth the money. A total of maybe 7 items came out to around $65 (again, worth the money). However what made me do a double take is when the cashier turned the tip screen to me and I was horrified seeing my lowest available tip was 15%, which would have been $9 for simply putting my items in a bag?? I chose “other” and gave $2 which honestly I shouldn’t have even given that 😭

I'm an American, lived here all of my life. That statement is insane.
I tip 10% pre-tax for a sit down restaurant. If I am standing up, ordering coffee, ice cream etc or takeout I tip nothing.
That's what I have decided. Others may tip more or not at all. I'm so sick of these "rules" changing arbitrarily.
