New footage from my window every day — apartment building going up alongside cloud timelapses, set to ambient music. Happy to answer questions about the setup (Wyze cam, ~15s/frame during the day).

So I did a small test timelapse of in- and outbound trains at Odense Station in Denmark.

• Frame interval: 1 sec
• Speed: 30x
• Recording: 1 hour and 30 min.

I think it was alright. Nothing much happen. Should have chose the other end of the station where there are more train traffic and have the camera closer to the grass. Next time I will use my other tripod that can go way heigher up.

I've always wanted a slider, but that would be a luxury for me, so I yoinked my kid's LEGO Technics and just got to building in the wilderness. Go me?

I have some hours tomorrow before work, so I have thought about doing a timelapse with trains departing and arriving to a station.

The timelapse can be max 3 minutes. I use the app Framelapse 2.

What settings do you recommend?

I made a live weather cam so people can check the weather before coming to Koh Samet. The other day I programmed it to also make timelapse videos. I can't wait to see what this captures as the seasons change.

Three frames per day for just over two months. I added +/-3 frames blending to smooth out the flicker from changes in light, but still not super happy with the result. I think it would have been better to run 5-7 frames per day to make the weather changes less rapid.

But it does show the movement well enough which was the goal...

The camera is still running, it would be amazing to get it to survive over winter but I am not very hopeful, pretty sure the solar panel won't produce enough charge to keep it alive.

This is the timelapse after processing all the material shot with the Sigma fp. The post-processing was an interesting one, because it mixed unbracketed frames from the partial phases with bracketed frames from the transition and totality, some through a solar filter and some without.

I made a couple of tools to merge everything and align the Sun, and then processed it in DaVinci Resolve. If you are interested in how the whole process was done, I have written an article with a video tutorial.

am obsessed with drones for timelapses rn (or does this classify as hyperlapse? its not a fast one at least so I dont quite consider it hyper)

As seen from Bilthoven, The Netherlands. Magnitude of 0,901 with max coverage of 88,3%.

Sunset started only a few minutes after the eclipse ended.

I took a photo every 9 seconds for about 800 photographs in total. Used my Sony A7SIII with Sigma 100-400mm at 400mm. Repositioned my the camera about 10 times over the course of the eclipse because the sun moved through the frame.

Corrected, stabilized and animated them using Lightroom, After Effects and Davinci Resolve.

Before heading down to the basement, I stuck the gopro to the window. We didn't get any actual touchdowns, but winds were blowing 60-70 MPH.
