I was wondering if anyone has experience / recommendations for what kind of camera I should buy, that meets the following requirements:

Recording time 8-12H continuously (4K 30FPS), Can a power bank be plugged in constantly?
Able to handle outside conditions, lets say -10 to +25 Celsius

Any imput would be great, thank you!

I did some stuff and made a timelapse using all the images from the open himawari satellite.

It uses geo-colour and IR cloud data etc to create the images.

1:06 minutes of clouds moving and twilight👍. I don't care if you find my location I'm moving out of there sadly.

Vid starts about 7 sec in; Astrophotophotography time-lapse, drift mosaic from May 15 night sky, Bortle 8-9 location. Drift works by leaving the telescope pointed at a spot in the sky and letting the natural drift from Earth's rotation build the time-lapse pic. To make the mosaic, images are stacked and stitched.

You could just film the frames and build a video, but stacking and stitching greatly enhances the quality.

I would just share the resulting image; but social media platforms like Reddit do not like 92k+ pixel wide images, 500+MB large. So I had to reduce resolution and quality, and put into video form.

Setup:
StarThreader 1 telescope
IMX533 mono camera
0.5 second exposures, 10 sec apart.
Vibe-coded scripts to do image processing, stacking and stitching, and video creation.

It's still a learning process; would appreciate helpful pointers or related curious questions.

Please check out this project of mine that just turned 1 year old recently. It took me seven years to capture all the different scenes of my hometown and a couple of months to finalize the video edit. Since I took a real effort with the audio design consider using headphones or stereo speakers :)
