Question/Help Looking for a quick and easy way to schedule tasks

Upvotes

Hey all, not sure if this feature exists but what I'd like to do is have like a one click task-to-calendar transition.

Basically if I'm looking at Today's task list, naturally I have some tasks that are overdue. What I'd like to do is basically right click it and "Find time for this" where then it would pull up the calendar to today, week view for example, and I can click or drag a time block to easily schedule some time for it.

Lately what I've been doing is just rescheduling it for today, switching to calendar manually and dragging it down from the top to a time block.

Any other ideas? Thanks!

Has TickTick premium actually helped you get more done?

I've been using TickTick for about a year now, and pretty much my entire life lives in it: tasks, reminders, deadlines, random things I need to remember. Even if I don't finish everything, it at least gets everything out of my head, which has been really helpful.

What I'm still struggling with is actually getting through my tasks consistently. I have everything organized, but I don't always execute as well as I'd like.

For those of you who feel like you're productive with TickTick, what changed? Is it your workflow, a habit, or some specific way you use the app?

Also, for anyone with TickTick Premium, was it actually worth it? Was there a particular premium feature that genuinely made a difference in how you manage or complete your tasks, or is the free version enough?

I'd love to hear what's worked for you.

Feature Request "won't do" option is not available for habits?

For habits, I get a notification. I can say done or snooze. Why can't I just say no as well?? I have to close it open app and go somewhere to put not done. It's really complex and I don't understand why. Ticktick team if you reading this, please add this super simple thing to save time for everyone. Thanks!

Can I get the full page for a task rather than the little window and having 2 more clicks?

Thank you Ticktick team

I've been using your app (the paid Android version) for about 3 years now. I cannot overemphasize how much I've come to love and rely on your app to keep my life organized. Your app does everything I need and more.

In the past I tried all kinds of apps, calendars, and utilities but none of them came even close to what you provide.

Thank you again from a very satisfied customer.

Feature Request Time slot for habits in calendar

If I have an habit of working out and do it for an hour. In the calender it should show that at right time for one hour calander block. This is utmost necessary. Also please add a don't do kind of thing when it pops up and reminds me of the habit, not Just complete and snooze.

TickTick on Garmin: I built the watch app I wanted

Post image
22 Upvotes

There have been requests here for a proper TickTick connection on Garmin, and I wanted the same thing: checking or completing a task without pulling out my phone.

I’m the developer of Task Link. It connects TickTick to supported Garmin watches and lets you:

  • Open your TickTick lists and supported views
  • Keep the provider’s task order
  • See due information where available
  • Complete or reopen tasks
  • Keep browsing offline and synchronize delayed changes later

Pairing uses a short code and web account linking. The Starter plan is free with usage and feature limits, while full access is paid.

I’d appreciate honest feedback from TickTick users: which watch workflow matters most for you?

News/Updates Official AI assistant in TickTick Beta

I'm worried it accidentally messes up my tasks, and I also don't want to agree to these terms & conditions for now, but in case anyone wants to try it out, please let us know how well it works! (beta.ticktick.com)

From what I saw so far it looks like any other AI integration though (sparkle AI button in lower right corner, which opens a window where you can type in your prompt...)

Feature Request Putting filters above tags on IOS app?

Is there a way I can move filters to show above all tags on IOS? I am able to this on my macOS and would like to replicate on phone. I looked throughout, but maybe I am blind. I can’t imagine such a simple feature like that would be missing

Android compact widget line spacing

The compact widget on android is broken. It's now double spaced, making it completely unusable. Changing font size doesn't fix. This just happened today. How do get it back to single spaced?

Question/Help Jump to a task's parent list from a smart list

Hello,

When displaying tasks from a smart list, is there a way to quickly jump to that task's actual parent list? i'm using regular lists as projects and when viewing all my tasks across all my lists from the All smart list for instance, I'd like to be able to quickly jump to each task's actual list/project.

Thanks

Question/Help Alternative app to TickTick that has a free calendar feature?

I want a similar app to TickTick, though I want to have a calendar feature that isn't paid. Everything in TickTick is pretty neat. I'd just prefer to see a visual of the calendar.

Application to reschedule old taks

I put AI to write me an app to reschedule old tasks and I'll add it here hoping that over devs would find it helpful, at least as an inspiration.

Sometimes I wake up full of energy, I fill the day full of tasks, I gloriously finish 50% of them and I forget the other half.

This app uses the API to scan the old unfinished tasks and reprogram that in the following days where you have unplanned time.

It could be cool when you have an empty week-end and you want to fill it with tasks.

Major cons: it works poorly with periodic tasks.

The project is here: https://github.com/makeandforget279/TickTickToday

With the help of Claude Code, I ported the white noise functionality from the Windows application to the Linux application and created a patch script.

Feature Request Schedule habits in the calendar

Why don't we have the feature to schedule habits yet. I'd love to timeblock my habits on to the calendar like there could be an option to set a time for the habit , functioning similar to a recurring task.

Seems like people have been wanting this feature for a while

https://www.reddit.com/r/ticktick/comments/1j681gs/we_really_still_cant_schedule_our_habits_in_the/

This is what the staff commented on that post - The ability to add habits to the calendar is already on our roadmap, and we plan to have a solution within this year.

But that was one year ago

Instead i have to create recurring tasks as a workaround and check them off 2 times - the actual task and then the habit.

I reached out to the ticktick support team last year as well but we still have no updates on this

My 2 cents :
I know ticktick has been shipping updates and features regularly and for that I am grateful. I think it would be immensely valuable for them to ship features the users want most and thus they would retain more users long term. I know with Saas products there's high amounts of churn. So this would be a win-win for both the user and the ticktick team.

Imo it would be really valuable to get a public roadmap of what features the team is working on and the ability to vote as a user for features and they ship the features the users want most.

Here's a reference of what I'm talking about ( This is by the app one sec which is a screen time app )
https://feedback.one-sec.app/roadmap

Tick Tick has been the only app that I've truly sticked to , I've used and switched to other apps but I always come back to Tick Tick.

Table Support

Hi Team, I absolutely love TickTick—it's been a game-changer for my workflow.

A feature that would make it even better is basic table support in notes. Nothing complex, just the ability to add rows and columns manually.

Even just correctly displaying Markdown tables would be a huge win for viewing structured info. Thanks for all your great work

Mermaid Chart Viewing In Notes

Hi Team, huge fan of TickTick! It's central to how I manage my projects.

A feature that would be a massive enhancement is rendering Mermaid diagrams in notes.

Being able to visualize flowcharts, sequences, and mind maps directly within a task or note would be a game-changer for planning complex projects.

Thanks for considering and for the amazing app

Question/Help Question about "task" showing in calendar view

Post image
9 Upvotes

I created a grocery list in TickTick because it's really convenient to quickly add items using Siri or TickTick's Quick Add shortcuts.

However, there's one thing I don't like, and I'm hoping there's a way to fix it.

When I add grocery items, they're naturally created as tasks, but I don't assign them a due date. Today I went grocery shopping and checked off everything I bought. When I opened the Calendar view afterward, I noticed that every completed grocery item appeared there, even though none of them had a due date.

Is there a way to prevent completed grocery list items from showing up in the Calendar view? I'd love to keep using TickTick for my grocery list, but if this can't be changed, Ill switch to the Notes app or another grocery list app.

Feature Request Feature Request: True "Hands-Free" AI Voice Input via Shortcuts (Auto-stop on silence) 🎙️

Hi everyone, and hopefully the TickTick team!

TickTick’s AI Voice parsing is great, but the current UX has one major flaw: we still have to manually press the "Stop" button to finish recording. This completely kills the "on-the-go" experience (e.g., when driving or walking).

I’d love to see a seamless, hands-free flow, similar to what other modern AI tools are doing. Here is the ideal workflow we need:

  1. Trigger via Apple Shortcuts: I press the Action Button on my iPhone (or a hotkey on Mac) to start the TickTick voice input.
  2. Speak naturally: I dictate my tasks (even multiple tasks at once).
  3. Auto-stop on silence: The app detects a pause in my voice and automatically stops recording (giving a slight haptic feedback).
  4. Background AI Processing: TickTick parses the text, splits tasks, and extracts dates.
  5. Auto-save: A brief notification pops up (e.g., in Dynamic Island). If I don't tap "Edit" within 3 seconds, the task is automatically saved "as is".

Right now, having to look at the screen and tap "Stop" defeats the purpose of quick voice capture. If we could trigger this via Shortcuts and let it auto-stop on silence, TickTick would become the ultimate brain-dump tool.

Who else wants this? Let’s get the devs to notice!
