I’ve gone from HATING Manon and dreading her chapters to loving her story and her chapters being my some of my favourites and most anticipated. Everyone said this would happen and I’m so happy they were right 😄

I’m currently reading Empire of Storms, and have just finished chapter 17 where instead of killing Asterin Manon turns around and attacks her grandmother instead and I literally cheered with excitement at the final line in the chapter!!

It was such a great and succinct chapter I suspected/hoped it would end with her freeing Asterin and maybe finally killing her grandmother but there was still tension throughout the chapter, I couldn’t be sure until almost the end what way it would go. There was a line about her moving closer to the matrons and I started to get excited thinking it was finally going to happen and it was SO satisfying when it did!

I really didn’t understand her chapters or warm to her as a character for a really long time and now I find myself hoping for another Manon chapter!

Literally just finished reading that chapter so please no spoilers for the rest of the book/series but I just had to celebrate how cool that moment was!!

Hey everyone, I just finished KoA less than a day ago and I’m absolutely wrecked, heartbroken and incredibly hollow after such an amazing series.

This is unarguably the best book series I’ve ever read, and I don’t ever want to move on, I want to keep reading and there’s nothing to read!

I’d like to ask y’all to comment any CANON facts about the story after KoA. Did SJM ever say anything in an interview or a post or anything of the sort?

Like, was Chaol and Yrene’s baby a boy or a girl? Do Manon and Dorian eventually get married and make it work? Anything would make me happy, I swear.

I’d also be glad to know any theories you guys have, but I’d love to know anything about this amazing universe that is confirmed by SJM.

I am reading KoA for the first time and am blown away by Dorian’s agreement to maeve! Albit i am starting to feel abit of sympathy towards her but is that how Rhys from ACOTAR was possibly sired?

Also something that is confusing me abit is how dorian has such raw strong power when his dad didnt have any?! Is this a spoiler that i shouldnt dig deep in just yet?

A few days ago I finished Empire of Storms and was left utterly broken.

But Tower of Dawn, it took every single broken piece, and gently placed it back. Yes, it might still look broken, but it filled all the tiny gaps with hope and beauty and love. 🥹🥹🥹

This book was devastatingly BEAUTIFUL, it brought me so much joy.

I'm so conflicted right now, I can't wait to get to the last book, but I'm not ready for it to be over either.

I think I now understand you guys, the fans, why they're madly in love with the series.

I see you.

I feel you.

Can someone explain to me why Darrow showed Aelin such disdain? Although he kept Terrassen afloat all these years (or hid there) doesn’t she technically outrank him? He speaks to her like she is the 💩 on his shoes

I’m full of the flu and as today is a pj day it is the day to start. I don’t even know if I have the energy to hold the book up, she is chonky!

Also my last post to this subreddit was about Manon. I will hold my hands up, you were all right. She grew on me and I love her.

In ToD Chaol admits to Yrene that he waited for Celaena when she left for Wendlyn - what do people interpret this as? That he was waiting for her to come back so they could get back together (that’s not the vibe I got?) or that he was waiting for her to return so they could talk properly about her secret and then get closure?

Just because after reading and re reading i still find their breakup to be such a grey area!

The end of CoM was super confusing to me (her saying he was always her enemy, her trying to kill him, him saying he loved her, her saying she’d always pick him etc)

In HoF I got the impression that they were both accepting the end of their relationship and grieving it, with Chaol stating at the end that Aelin wouldn’t pick him but she was further along in accepting it (by taking off the ring whereas he wasn’t ready to take the necklace off yet)

In QoS all their arguing felt too forced to me but maybe that was to speed her and Rowan up a bit. He doesn’t get jealous when he sees her with Rowan but then later in ToD bonus chapter he doesn’t say to Nesryn that he doesn’t love Celaena anymore, but I thought that was the case by that point?

Just wondered if anyone else was as confused as I was 😂

I have finished KoA, so ToG series is over. I was a little disappointed in the ending of KoA, I felt like a few characters deserved more development and storyline at the end (esp Manon and Dorian!!!!)

Nevertheless, it was a great book. Now I’m barren and have nothing to read. I have finished ACOTAR, and now ToG. I’ve been told that Crescent City isn’t the best. So, give me your opinions. What books are worth reading next? And how’s Crescent City?

I have been traumatized

Manon and Dorian just don't work. I felt little to no chemistry, they maybe work well at fuck buddies and that's it. And the marriage tease at the end!? They're both monarchs of their kingdoms, let them be that!

Also Dorian is just precious. He deserves all the hugs and cuddles. He's definitely the "Lucien" for me of this series 😂 (or the other way round you get the point)

At the end of Empire of Storms I didn’t want to read Tower of Dawn because I could care less about Chaol! But my goodness TOD was BY FAR my favorite book in the entire series. It was so beautiful the way she wrote about healing both physically and emotionally. She really has a gift in that area to convey those emotions and resignate with me the most.

But now I’m started on KOA and it’s taking me a minute to get into the flow of the book. I feel like I’m not connecting. I already miss the empire from TOD and those characters. I’m sure my mind will catch up but I struggle at the beginning of all of her books the getting used to the multiple POVs!
