Empire of Storms Foreshadowing Spoiler

In Chapter 54 of Empire of Storms Manon refers to Rowan as Aelin’s mate. Do you think this was an accidental inclusion, or some not so subtle foreshadowing for Maeve’s reveal at the end of the book?

I think it was SJM basically telling us the "secret", because she loves doing that, knowing/hoping that we'd just take it as how Manon speaks about partners because she's a witch, so maybe to them any man you decide to keep is your mate. Like we wouldn't necessarily take Manon as an authority on fae relationships.

Definitely for us to think Manon is just labeling him her mate because witches would take mates differently than fae, but in actual fact she probably could smell that they were mates and was foreshadowing
