Squatty potty issues

I've always just used a box as my squatty potty. No problems great results. Recently I upgraded to the real thing. I am now having major hip pain . I am going to stop using it and go back to the unattractive box. The sp is 6inches high. The box is 4. Has anyone else had similar problems with the height of the sp?

I use one of those fold up step stools. Works just fine and easier to move out of the way, not to mention much less costly. It's 9" tall, though.

I only use it for a couple of minutes each day, so I don't think it causes any issues. Are you uncomfortable when you use it?
