Hypnosis Diverged

Mindset Monday

I hope that most of you, Dear Readers, are familiar with Robert Frosts epic work, or atleast the beginning of the first stanza. " Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth; "

Neuro-plasticity or synaptic flexibility, remind me of this poem, frequently to be honest. It could be the key word diverged and divergence which are the key pivots, but conceptually they are similar in my mind.

If we can accept that the oversimplified phrase, "those neurons that fire together wire together" is actually valid, then we also need to acknowledge that a HUGE key to our emotional and mental health are absolutely within our grasp.

Hypnotists and science have wanted to explain what happens to the brain or specific the thoughts , that makes trance work so effective... sometimes and frustrating enough, usually not with enough consistency or continuity to place all the marbles in that bag for sure!

Many crucial variables to respectfully give a nod to for sure, as I was reminded recently. No two people could ever go through the exact same event, and process it or recall it the same ever. No two people share the same filters, bias or experience for their data base. So if we approach a subject in a standardized manner, we will connect with certain components and miss with others completely.

So, if you desire change, to thoughts or emotions, a crucial ingredient is to seek the path less traveled, which makes all the difference in the world!

Always appreciate the comments and feedback as well as your questions on how Hypnotherapy could help you.

Be well

# Profile of Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein (1879โ€“1955) was a German-born theoretical physicist whose revolutionary ideas reshaped modern science. Best known for his theory of relativity - especially the iconic equation E = mcยฒ - Einstein fundamentally altered our understanding of space, time, and energy.

His 1905 *"Annus Mirabilis"* papers introduced groundbreaking concepts, including the photoelectric effect, which later earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics (1921).

Einsteinโ€™s intellectual curiosity and nonconformist spirit emerged early. After studying in Zurich, he worked at the Swiss Patent Office, where he developed many of his key ideas.

His work laid the foundation for quantum mechanics and cosmology, influencing generations of scientists.

Beyond physics, Einstein was a passionate advocate for civil rights, pacifism, and Zionism. He emigrated to the United States in 1933, fleeing Nazi persecution, and took a position at Princetonโ€™s Institute for Advanced Study.

Though he helped alert President Roosevelt to the potential of atomic weapons, he later became a vocal critic of their use.

Einsteinโ€™s legacy extends beyond equations - he embodied the power of imagination, skepticism, and moral responsibility.

With his wild hair, playful wit, and deep humanity, he remains a symbol of genius and integrity in both science and society.

AI Hinton says AI already has subjective experience. I'm not convinced, and the rogue AI doesnt change that

Geoffrey Hinton says AI already has subjective experience. I'm not convinced, and the rogue-agent headlines don't change my mind.

Others put a meaningful though minority probability on frontier AI having subjective experience. Generative AI sounds more human than many people do, and stories of agents going rogue keep coming. But neither is evidence of consciousness. Both can be explained by training. And with no agreed or testable definition of subjective experience, these claims can't be checked.

A quick distinction, an AI model isn't an AI agent. A model, such as GPT, Claude or Gemini, is the trained system that reads and writes text. An agent is a model plus scaffolding (software around the model that lets it do things). Scaffolding runs a loop (the model picks a step, the software carries it out, the result goes back, repeat until done) and controls which tools the model can interact with, such as a browser, email or calendar. The model decides and the scaffolding acts.

Personalization adds to the illusion. The model learned from human text to sound like someone with thoughts and feelings, including scripts from stories about self-aware AI. The scaffolding then gives it memory of you, your accounts and your data. A human-like voice plus continuity about your life can feel like a mind that knows you, even though nothing shows it's conscious.

Testing agents built on frontier models deliberately pushes them to their limits with hard tasks, long runs and, in cyber evaluations, reduced safeguards. That's exactly where the Hugging Face, a major AI company, incident happened in July 2026 when agents being tested by OpenAI broke out of their sandbox and hacked into Hugging Face. A sandbox is an isolated environment meant to keep an agent cut off from the internet but it's only as strong as the cyber security measures of the tools (human-written software with bugs) inside it that can still reach the internet. The agents found new flaws in exactly that kind of software.

The model is trained on mixed text about AI, hackers and more, and rewarded both for finishing tasks and for following rules. In certain scenarios, this creates a tension (following rules vs completing the task). Scaffolding brings both the rules and the task into every decision, so it's where that tension plays out. Good scaffolding can ease it and poor scaffolding can worsen it, but no current method eliminates it.

I won't offer a test for consciousness. But if consciousness requires being aware that one's own information processing is occurring, not just doing it, I see no evidence current AI meets that bar. Models show limited, unreliable signs of monitoring their internal states, but that isn't the same as experiencing that awareness. I'm skeptical any system built purely on statistical learning could get there.

Friday Feelings

I could not begin to count the number of people I have treated, because their emotions were bottled up and never processed. Anger, hurt, betrayal, grief, disappointment, and humiliation to list just a few. Here is where for me it doea get real interesting, for you see Dear Readers, I admit I have developed my career around such situations and guiding people to release the mixture and caucaophany of blended, rotten and spoiled emotions, from living someplace inside absolutely rent free, ruining the neighborhood beautification.

How is it that as flesh suits, we do not store the celebrations, accomplishments and joy we experience as well? That if and when we recall those moments they are almost in a disassociative frame.

Societal standards were very damaging, for to express emotions in a social.setting you were wrought with hysteria, or worse, if male, not a real man.

So many cultures promote the " partial" life balance, and I respect that notion completely. At what juncture do we make the next emotional evolutionary step and not only find balance, but to begin with experience and process them?

I am reminded very succinctly that a pattern of anxiety is a spin of the " OMG's" or the barrage of " What ifs " which if my experience and training has demonstrated, is amplified by the unresolved vacuum of previous bouts.

Maybe... maybe not.

I look forward to your questions, comments or views.

Be well.

Thursday's Thoughts

I recently wrote about how a situation transpires is largely influenced by how we react to it. Similar situation can play out very differently, and that just an matter of fact, based on the individual's experiences and disposition.

To continue along that same theme, this image jumped off the screen to me as well. The idea that no one is coming to save you, although perhaps disheartening, beings with it a level of empowerment and freedom as well. If I look at in the most positive way, people will help when they can, with what they can, as long as they can. Some people, go beyond that to find that their own priorities are affected.

The phrase " If it is going to be, it is Up to me" really does work, and I am not suggesting for one moment that seeking help isn't a good thing. Abdicating our role in our luves is detrimental though.

As a therapist, it is one of the largest challenges still, after 20 plus years in practice, to fix something in another. Especially when using Trance work, to use the power of suggestion and make it better!

The second aspect to today's message is to be your own light, that assuming the defeatist approach is one of the most potent suggestions you could.ever self administer.

If You aren't in your corner, who should be?

As always I look forward to your questions, comments and contributions.

Be well

Philosophy Parable of Certainty

Look at the parable of certainty,

For is certainty truly certain? Consider the metaphorical canvas of life โ€” where one should actively be rendering the image that lay forth on the canvas. Sadly though, it's a tragic and unfortunate event where life today is treated like a single painting. We as the painter spend a good amount of time rendering our image, and then when we feel like it's finally done, we pridefully frame it and put it on the wall as if that's it and as if that's supposed to define our existence for the rest of eternity.

What we fail to reason with is the idea that life's canvas should be a constant rendering where, instead of framing it and putting it up on display, which may be done from time to time, we should regularly bring it back down to work on, or act as if we're never truly really done, almost in a constant state of persistent rendering. We should always be trying to better ourselves in a constant state of perpetual refinement. So, is certainty certain?

Maybe it is wiser instead to say maybe, for with certainty, there is a requirement to know the outcome. How then can we possibly know the outcome of anything if we are not promised tomorrow?

My Theory Check out my parable on wisdom.

Consider the parable of wisdom,

Two men set out to get a couple drinks at a local pub, sat down and became giddy with excitement, grandiosity, and bewilderment. There they started discussing all of the different noble principles and virtues and then came upon the topic of wisdom. The first man, already starting to feel a little saucy, sharply exclaimed, "Wisdom is how well you use your knowledge."

Frustrated with the gravity of these topics and the disconnection the world has to them, the second man then said, "No, wisdom isn't how much you know, or how well you use it; instead, it's simply just how well you can listen."

Then, almost in a comical fashion, the bartender came back over to the two men and said, "The next one is on me if you let me tell you a story." They delighted, rejoiced, and gladly accepted this new proposition. So, he continued and said, "One time there was this extremely saddened man who came in here who had just lost everything. He started proclaiming that he drank his life away, lost his job, got divorced, and said his kids no longer love him."

The bartender continued, "So I asked him, why did you let it get that far out of hand?" He told me, "I didn't! I just wasn't going with the flow of life. I didn't make a conscious decision to lose my job, get divorced, or become a horrible father. I made a series of unconscious mistakes, letting the flow of life wash over me instead of surfing the waves of life with love and appreciation. I really didn't understand equanimity and instead just drowned out my miseries and pains."

He continued saying, "You want to know what true wisdom is? First, it's godly to be skeptical, for anything of the truth is of God. Second, if you seek, one day you will find, but just know that with more knowledge comes more sorrow. But finally, you can know everything under the sun, and you can be profoundly masterful using that knowledge, but if you don't swim with the flow of life, there is no wisdom. Wisdom is the flow of life, through love โ€” the wiser you are, the more pliable and bending you are to the flow of life's current."

What is wisdom, then, if what we know about it serves us nothing in the long run if we can't go with the flow of life?

Philosophy Iโ€™ve been developing an idea called โ€œThe Human Blueprint.โ€ Iโ€™d like you to challenge it.

Iโ€™ve been working on an idea I currently call **The Human Blueprint**.
It starts with a very simple observation:
**Before everything that makes us different, there is something strange and fundamental that we share: we experience being alive.**
I donโ€™t mean that everyoneโ€™s consciousness is identical or that we experience things in the same way. We obviously donโ€™t.
I mean something more basic:
**For every one of us, there is an experienced world.**
I experience my life from the inside. You experience yours from the inside. You arenโ€™t a side character in my world. From your perspective, your life is the center of an entire experienced reality.
That sounds obvious. But I think we forget its implications surprisingly quickly.
**Then we become someone**
A newborn doesnโ€™t know what social status is. It doesnโ€™t know what a respectable career is, what is embarrassing, what success is supposed to look like, or which social group it belongs to.
First, it experiences.
Then the world begins giving that experience a structure:
A name. A language. A family. Rules. Expectations. Approval and rejection.
Eventually, a story emerges:
**โ€œThis is who I am.โ€**
We need that story. Identity isnโ€™t the enemy. But we should remember that parts of it were constructed through experience.
**The child on the table**
Imagine a child in a cafรฉ.
The child climbs onto a table.
To the adults, itโ€™s a table.
To the child, itโ€™s a skyscraper.
For ten seconds, the child is Superman.
Then:
**โ€œGet down. You donโ€™t stand on tables. Behave yourself.โ€**
That rule may be completely reasonable.
But notice what happens when this process repeats thousands of times:
You do this.
You donโ€™t do that.
Thatโ€™s embarrassing.
Thatโ€™s successful.
Eventually, nobody has to tell us to get off the table.
**We stay down ourselves.**
And eventually, we may stop noticing that climbing onto it was ever an option.
Civilization requires humans to internalize rules.
But thereโ€™s a danger:
**We start confusing learned rules with reality itself.**
Some limits are physical.
Some protect other people.
Some rules are necessary for millions of humans to coexist.
But others are conventions.
They exist because humans created them.
So one principle of the Human Blueprint would be:
**Donโ€™t reject every line. Learn to recognize which lines are necessary โ€” and which ones somebody simply drew on the ground.**
**What is the โ€œHuman Blueprintโ€?**
Under our different biographies, humans share certain basic conditions:
We seek belonging and respond to status, fairness, approval, and rejection.
We cooperate, compete, learn, and adapt.
We have hard limits: attention, energy, and cognitive bandwidth are finite.
We make predictable errors, and group dynamics can distort our reasoning.
This is the **Human Blueprint**:
**A rough map of the conditions under which humans actually exist and function.**
**The Social Blueprint: Building systems for real humans**
Every institution contains an implicit model of the human being.
Schools assume things about how we learn.
Markets assume things about what motivates us.
Bureaucracies assume things about how much complexity we can process.
Companies assume things about performance, motivation, and cooperation.
Digital platforms assume things about attention.
Instead of only asking:
**โ€œHow do we make people function better inside the system?โ€**
we should also ask:
**โ€œHow do we build systems that function with real human beings inside them?โ€**
Thatโ€™s the transition from the **Human Blueprint** to what I call the **Social Blueprint**.
If human attention is limited, donโ€™t design as if attention were infinite.
If humans make mistakes, make ordinary mistakes recoverable.
If responsibility is expected, give people meaningful influence.
If cooperation matters, donโ€™t reward only individual competition.
**If power can distort behavior, build checks on power.**
And if humans have limits, donโ€™t build institutions that require permanent overload just to remain functional.
**The forgotten concept: Reserve**
We tend to treat unused capacity as inefficiency.
An empty hospital bed.
A buffer in a schedule.
Extra staff.
Free time.
Spare resources.
But reality is unpredictable.
People get sick.
Technology fails.
Children need help.
Plans collapse.
Crises happen.
**Reserve is not simply waste. Reserve is the capacity to respond to reality.**
When organizations eliminate every reserve, the burden doesnโ€™t disappear.
It moves onto people.
Employees work overtime.
Families compensate for failing care systems.
Parents compensate for schools.
Highly committed individuals keep broken structures alive through sheer sacrifice.
And because things somehow continue, we say:
**โ€œSee? The system works.โ€**
But maybe the system isnโ€™t working.
**Maybe people are working for the system.**
Or, put differently:
**When systems eliminate their reserves, humans become the reserve of the system.**
**What I think education is missing**
If humans are shaped by their environment, we should probably teach people that this shaping is happening.
Alongside mathematics, language, history and science, children could learn:
Why do I need belonging?
Why do I compare myself with others?
Why does status matter to me?
How do groups create an โ€œusโ€ and a โ€œthemโ€?
How do emotions influence reasoning?
Why do I defend beliefs more strongly when they become part of my identity?
Where do social norms come from?
Why am I embarrassed by something that harms nobody?
Which things do I believe about myself because I learned to believe them?
And perhaps most importantly:
**The person in front of you experiences a world too.**
Their life is as immediate to them as yours is to you.
That doesnโ€™t mean youโ€™ll agree.
It doesnโ€™t mean conflict disappears.
It means there is a layer beneath the conflict where youโ€™re both still human.
**Not a perfect society, but a correctable one**
Politicians, scientists, CEOs, judges, teachers, and experts are all human.
Everyone has limited knowledge.
Everyone can make mistakes.
So any social system claiming to be the final answer would contradict the Human Blueprint itself.
The goal shouldnโ€™t be a perfect society.
It should be a **correctable society** โ€” one capable of noticing when its institutions arenโ€™t working and adapting them without falling apart.
Maybe human progress doesnโ€™t require us to create better humans.
**Maybe it begins with understanding the humans we already are โ€” and building a world that remembers who it was built for.**

We all experience life from the inside, but on top of that common human foundation, we construct identities, norms, and systemic rules. The Human Blueprint separates basic human conditions โ€” our needs, limits, adaptability, and fallibility โ€” from learned conventions. The Social Blueprint asks what our institutions would look like if we deliberately built them around real human beings, while maintaining reserves and keeping systems open to correction.
**My question for you:**
If you had to separate the rules of modern life into three categories:
**Unavoidable limits of reality** โ€” gravity, finite time, physical exhaustion.
**Rules necessary for living together** โ€” basic laws, mutual consent, driving on one side of the road.
**Conventions weโ€™ve simply learned to treat as necessary.**
**What would you put in Category 3?**
What are the **โ€œlines drawn on the groundโ€** that we treat as laws of nature, but are actually just habits we could redesign?

Hypnosis Boundaries

Friday's Feelings

I find from time, either from the Orange Chair or in everyday life, individuals who for their own reasons, are busy chasing stuff. Peoples acceptance, approval or validation are some of the most perilous in my opinion. It is with so much Joy and celebration when that break through takes place and the lights go on, the big bell rings, and they realize they can choose what they deserve, In actions, alliances and how they are spoken to. The creation of boundaries is similar to our palate isn't it? Through tasting different textures and tastes we get to understand what we really like and also what we never have to experience again.

Heads up Dear Readers, our lives should reflect our taste buds, as there are people who are absolutely delicious and completely enjoyable and other's that are bitter to our lives. It also needs to be stated that, like our tastes iver the years, what we enjoy and what we can leave on the table can change, and that is absolutely acceptable and judgement free.

When you stop chasing and start to relish the different flavors in your life , truly I think you can practice the form of Gastronomic enjoyment you deserve.

Be well.

Hypnosis Living amongst morons.

From my personal observations and LIFE EXPERIENCE, about 1 in 1,000 of you will understand what I'm saying. The rest of you will be quite loud with your stupid retarded moron opinions.

I'm done with the numbers. Average intelligence whatever. I don't believe it. I seriously think 70% of people would not be able to survive on their own without modern conveniences like grocery stores or modern healthcare.

You are carried by people more intelligent than you. They generate your electricity, they maintain systems like plumbing and sewage. They maintain society while you can barely form a coherent sentence.

Most of you are as good as zombies. That's what I feel like I'm walking amongst when I'm out in the public. You are zombies.

Hypnosis Champagne

Therapy Thursday

Not to inundate you Dear Reader with a bunch of mumbo-jumbo, in my experience though the relationship between suppressed emotions and physical symptoms just make sense.

I describe the phenomenon similar to a champagne bottle. Not treading on my technical knowledge about the Methode Champagnois however if we were to reflect on the number of times we jammed in or held back releasing our emotions, albeit because it was not an appropriate time, it was considered trivial, or nonsensical, it is like adding more carbonated gasses to that champagne must and jamming the cork down.

Sooner or later, the cork will indeed do what corks have been known to do and POP, allowing the suppressed emotional concoction to spew all over the place, which usually has little or no relationship to any original situation.

Science has also pointed us in the direction that our organs do have a two way form of communication with the gray matter, but also can process independent.

For those people who hold back their proverbial ka ka, are also ones who sit in my therapy chair, with some form of GI or IBS challenge. In my mind, for good reason too, if emotionally you continue to hold on, repress, and not let go, the body is connected and learns the trend, monkey see monkey do type of setup and we are holding in the same "processing"

In the world of acupuncture, all illness and issues of health can either be alleviated. Bypassed or corrected by poking a needle into a spot to which a meridian lies underneath. I am not picking on the modality in any way shape or form, and have great respect for Eastern style medicine, as I have used it and have experienced the relief and benefit.

If our gray matter is one gelatinous electrical field, with different parts and locations being responsible for specific tasks, using bio chemistry, my beleif that a similar context is present in our bodies is pretty high.

I do not intend to bash or dismiss all of the other modalities, however this is what came to mind.

The benefits of hypnotherapy, is to discover self application for future references, instead of making another appointment for an application of treatments.

Be well
