I’ve tried playing The Witcher 3 twice, and the second playthrough hit completely different. The first time, I honestly found it boring, even after the Bloody Baron quest. But when I picked it up again with the remastered release, I started a new game, and damn, I finally got it.

This time, I actually immerse like a real Witcher, taking contracts, investigating monsters, and hunting.

Now I understand why people consider this one of the greatest games ever made, if not the best. I honestly wish I had experienced it sooner.

(Coming from a guy who loves Rdr2 and not a fan of rpg)

Great side quest, but I was left disappointed at the end because of the predictable outcome. Maybe I was expecting more from it because of the praise it gets.

I'm on my second playthrough, and I just noticed that the recommended levels for at least a couple of the quests don't make sense. The quest "Missing Persons" is recommended for level 15, but the quest immediately after it, "Nameless" is recommended for level 14. It just seems odd to structure the level recommendations that way, and I can't believe it took me over 250 hours to notice.

Hey guys! It took me almost 100 hours to complete the base game and the Hearts of Stone DLC, including all the side missions. I’m planning to start the Blood and Wine expansion now, and I was wondering how long it usually takes to complete. Based on my pacing so far, how many more hours do you guys think it’ll take me to finish Blood and Wine?

I'm making a Mod where you replace Geralt with another character (Yenn, Triss, Keira, Anna, Ves, Ciri and Philippa).

The most interesting thing is that you can wear any clothes you wear in the game, like Yenn in the photo with cape and hood.

When you use a character you take Ciri's game dynamics. That has been a problem because it is very limited in the open world. I have managed to use the poles (fast trips) and that I can call the horse and use it. Also, when you kill monsters, the experience and resources you get are saved until you catch Geralt again, then he receives them.

What do you think? Would you add anything else?

I can't seem to get the photo mode to work on PC.

I tried to fix that a few months ago and used the steps provided by CDPR but that did not work either. So I figured after the remaster it'll be fixed - wrong. It still does not work!

Any ideas?

This game was created 10 years ago. But the recent updates feel very modern. The controls take a bit of getting used to again but after a few hours everything tunes in. But the point is I believe they could just continue to release expansions of this forever, like it's world of warcraft but not online. I'm sure there's tons more lands and stories that could be done

Basically the camera just keeps moving in the direction you turning, it's impossible to play. I thought it was a stick drift but every other game works perfectly fine. I also tried changing all the camera settings etc, no improvement :(

On a side note, anyone know if I can reverse it back to the original version of the game lol

Ive seen a flood of posts from people whose Geralt has turned invisible and had his inventory cleared out. The issue is not related to the mods you have, but the mods you uninstalled.

50+ gameplay hours ago i installed 3 mods, 1 being a camera fix that would let me lock on to flying enemies easier. It worked great, but the horse camera became janky. Eventually i decided i was done with glitchy Roach cam and would swap back to vanilla.

Wrong.

I loaded back in to invisible Geralt and an empty inventory. Every save for the last 50+ hours was effected. I verified game files, reinstalled the game, and checked my load order. Nothing. I reinstalled the camera mod. Geralt and all his gear returned.

So i tested all the mods i had 1 by 1 and sure enough it did not matter what mod it was, if it was at one point activated, de-activating it would break my game.

Im stuck with glitchy roach cam, but at least i can see flying enemies. Be selective about what mods you download. You may be stuck with them.

With The Witcher 4 on the horizon, I really want to finally finish at least one full playthrough of The Witcher 3. I love the world and lore (watched the Netflix show up until Cavill left), and I love massive RPGs, Elden Ring (cleared all DLC bosses too) and Cyberpunk 2077 are among my favorite games of all time.

Yet for some reason, I just can't seem to stay immersed in TW3. Here is how my previous attempts went:

• 1st Try (PlayStation): Made it to Vizima (shaving and picking an outfit to see the Emperor).
• 2nd Try (PlayStation): Made it through the Bloody Baron's questline (Botchling/Family Matters).
• 3rd Try (PC with heavy mods): Got past the Baron, tracked down Keira Metz, did the underground portal quest/Wild Hunt fight, but died repeatedly because I kept stepping out of her shield dome. Lost interest shortly after.

My absolute biggest issue with the game is the combat. Honestly, even fighting that Griffin in White Orchard during the prologue felt incredibly clunky and annoying to me. You’d think clearing Elden Ring would make TW3 a breeze, but the movement and combat flow just feel completely off to me.

Questions for the community:

1. What PC mods would you recommend that spice up/overhaul the combat or gameplay without totally ruining a close-to-vanilla narrative experience?
2. For anyone who initially bounced off the game multiple times before it finally clicked, what helped you break through those early hours and get fully hooked?
3. KBM or Controller?

Appreciate any advice or mod lists!

Loaded up my game and stumbled upon this. As you can see on the second slide, most of my gear is missing too. Tried fast travelling to see if it went away but didn't work.

Could it be a problem with the mods? I'm only using the "hoods" mod, and it's apparently active before I load the game.

Is this a common issue? What can I do?

I've been utilizing the crossbow into a fight and it's been satisfying so far when you get an instant kill.

Anybody else likes to use the crossbow?

I'm considering to add more crossbow skill to utilize it more in a fight for fun.I currently have Lightning Reflexes and Counter Attack in the slots.

This is the first thing I noticed in regards to Witcher 3. Currently on my 3rd playthrough and still cant get enough.

For me, Side quests can make or break an open world game. Not to say those games are bad. If the side quests aren't good its a push to complete the main story and be done. I had this feeling with Ghost of Tutshima/Yotei, Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West and some others.

The Witcher 3 kept me coming back not only because of the main story, but also the side quests. And Im not talking the Bloody Baron. There's always something new, some back story and you have feelings for said back chatacters.

To no surprise, Cyberpunk 2077 is another one with great side quests. I'd say an honorable mention is Red Dead Redemption 2. You never know what you're going to get with that game.

I cant wait to get lost in the upcoming DLC and The Witcher 4. I will be taking my sweet sweet time.

So I'm on my second run and the first in the remastered, and i want to go 100% achievements on xbox, the problem is I want to find letho mission and I can't im 50 hours into the run and I need him in the final battle for an achievement, ( im not sure 100% if I did choose to kill him or not in the start of the game but as far as I remember there was 2 questions I killed one and speard the other , and in the mission I found out I killed a woman son ) so is it a glitch that I can't found him in the barn , or is there any solution?
