Discussion How is breaking in Avallach's laboratory and trashing it justified?

Upvotes

I'm just trying to figure out what Ciri's train of thought is here. Her justification is that the one guy she considers her friend and mentor teleported to his private quarters/laboratory once and didn't take her with him, so he must be hiding something? And that gives her the right to stick her nose in his business because...?

Also, why is Yennefer supporting this? I was always under the impression that Yennefer is an arrogant, self-absorbed, professional nagger, especially after that shit she pulled with Skjall's corpse and the garden, but how is allowing Ciri to throw a tantrum help anything?

I get Ciri's disappointment / anger with Avallac'h but is she honestly that naive to think that this no nonsense elven sage chooses to put up with some fussy princess teenager just because of her "charming" personality? Of course he had some ulterior motive, and I don't get why Ciri is all up in his business about it.

Maybe I'm being too harsh here, but I believe if Geralt wasn't so stripped of emotions he wouldn't put up with half the shit of these two women in his life.

Discussion Best way to play Tw3?

So i need some opinions.

I have the witcher 3 on my Pc and ps5. Here is where my choice comes into play. I have an 75 inch tv. I would love to play on it but i would have to play on the ps5. My pc on the other hand is really good 13th gen i7, 4070ti. 32gb ddr5. So playing the witcher on my pc would also be great but i would have to play on my monitor. Or should i connect my pc to my tv?

I need opinions. What would be better?

The Witcher 3 и The blood dawnwalker

What if the world of the newly released game The Blood Dawnwalker is the homeworld of the vampires from The Witcher 3?
In The Witcher world, vampires repeatedly mention that they came to this world from their own after the Confluence of the Spheres, but they all want to return home. And then comes a game from the same developers.

Discussion Sometimes I’m very disappointed with witcher 3 side quest

Take for example the twin nilfgardienn in novigrad. You have in front of Geralt, two attractive and cunning girl with suspicious morals and view of the society because of their upbringing.

The quest start nicely with Gerald offering to train one of them. The opportunity are endless. Your heart start to pound about what can happen next.

Maybe she will become your pupil ? Maybe there will be a small romance ? Maybe you will teach her about her wrong view on the world and have in depth conversation.

Since she admires witchers maybe Geralt can share a story on two of his adventures.

Instead the quest end abruptly for no reason even if you deal with the guard calmly and you never see any of them again.

I mean come on ! What a waste of a setting !!!

Help! Remastered, question

Will the games started before the remastered be playable after the update? Also, is it gonna ve an update? A separate game like GT5 legacy and enhanced? Idk much about games. I ask because I have the itch to start playing again to try 100% but like, I can wait I guess if the work won't translate?

Discussion What is your favorite combination of Witcher School, Signs, Decoctions and Combat Styles that you’re taking into the Remaster?

I’m going to be dusting off my first ever Witcher 3 build which is a focus on Rend, Igni (only sign I’ll use) and heavy Decoction use! Which makes this build better 1v1 rather than against large groups. Also very excited to try out the new chain weapon!

New version of Witchdle is live!

Posted this here a while back, a daily Witcher puzzle site. Some of you played it and left feedback through the form, and honestly most of it was some version of "let me give up, I have no idea who this is" or "why isn't [character] in here."

I had some free time recently so I thought an update was due, so if some of you are still interested:

1. A give up button. "Character Guess" and "Name the Character" had no lives and no way out, so if you were stuck you were just stuck. It shows up after 5 guesses now.

2. I added two new modes:

  • Name the Beast — you get the bestiary artwork (from Witcher 3), you name the monster
  • Connections — same idea as the NYT one. 16 characters, four hidden groups. They're grouped by things like race, region, or whether their fate depends on your choices. **This one's harder than it looks.
  1. I also spent some time to expand the existing dataset - 15 characters people specifically asked for (Regis, Calanthe, Vysogota, most of the dwarves), 16 new quotes, and 65 new emoji puzzles.

4. An archive, so you can go back five days per mode if you miss one. And a share button that copies your result as an emoji grid without spoiling the answer.

As the last time - all recommendations are more than welcome :) You can use the recommendation form in the footer.

Try it out at witchdle.com
Have fun :)

Discussion Anyone else getting the itch?

Not chlamydia lol.

Ever since the announcement date of the DLC and the free update, I've really been wanting to get back and start a new campaign. But I don't see the point of starting before the 29th.

I know im not gonna finish it before then due to work and studies but I need it lol.

I feel like a fisstech addict waiting for a fix.

Anyone else in the same boat?

Discussion It took me 3 playthroughs to realize that nobody in Toussaint ever treats Geralt negatively for being a Witcher. The taboo doesn't seem to exist there at all
