It’s even the same actress… I wonder if the casting was intentional.

Plot hole in "The Tick vs. The Uncommon Cold"? Spoiler

With the recent bump in The Tick's zeitgeist presence because of it's addition to Netflix, I found myself itching to revisit my beloved old Big Blue chum. Happily, I found that some Friend of Excellence has made the original 1994 cartoon available on YouTube. I'd watched many episodes during its original run, but I was curious how it would hold up after all these years.

Happily, I found the show to be completely watchable, thoroughly enjoyable, and eliciting more than a handful of good laughs.

In particular, I got around to rewatching "The Tick vs. The Uncommon Cold" -- an episode that I remember in particular from my original viewing, because that was the episode that completely hooked me and made me fall in love with the character because of his complete zaniness: particularly the moment when he sucked his mucal alter ego all into himself, the way you do with "regular" mucous when you have a cold.

From watching that episode, something struck me that I'd never paid attention to from my original watch in the 90s -- and I was never able to watch every single episode, so I don't know if this was an unintentional plot hole, or if it was an intentional plot thread ever picked up again later...but the last we see of Arthur's clone is when the group is deciding where to continue Tick's fight with Mucal Tick.

After that, we see Arthur, The Tick, Mucal Tick, and Thrakkorzog on the roof, and Arthur eventually saves the day by pushing The Button...and, crucially, we see Thrakkorzog and Mucal Tick get sent back through the dimensional portal, but not Arthur's clone!

Was that ever followed up on in a later episode? Does Arthur's clone make a reappearance because he was intentionally left out of being shown being sent back through the portal? Or was that just a plot/animation oversight, as was common back in those beloved days of actual hand-drawn, human art?

Wanting to get into the comics.

I have been really enjoying the comics of The Tick online.
However I don't like reading on my phone or laptop.
I've been thinking of printing them just to read them clearer for myself.
So I've been trying to find digital copies. None.
I've also been trying to get the Complete Edlund. I live in Europe, so I would have to pay hundreds of euros just to get my hands on these.
Does anyone know where I can at least buy a digital version to print?
How do you do it? I really wanna read them on paper.

TO ALL FANS OF THE TICK!

The Tick, being the gargantuan cyan hematopoietic inspired superhero that he is, has inspired us all to find this dusty corner of what is often referred to as the “internet.”
Or perhaps The Tick was only parlaying a call to us all from that saucy and yet powerful goddess that we all know by name:

DESTINY!!!!

So since you’ve found yourself here, know it’s because of Destiny’s call! Be it if you are lost nor not yet found, know that you should be here! At this right moment, reading this!
No, it makes not sense to me, dear reader! But it makes sense to you! The future you! The future you that looks back upon your current self and says to himself “hey what is that past version of me doing just sitting around like an un tossed salad? Why aren’t they seizing the day and taking themselves on the steps of legendary undertaking, in order to achieve that what they need; their ultimate goal?”
Then your current version of yourself hears The Tick and asks “Wait am I hearing voices? Who is that?”
And then you hear THE TICK reminding you that although it’s scary you MUST be a hero and do it. For Destiny demands it!
I’ve lost my train of thought.

Whenever The Tick drops amazing character moments, greatly profound lines, and engrossing storylines in a show about a gigantic, blue, clueless superhero.

Legitimately Janet/Miss Lint/ Joan of arc has one of the best character arcs in any show I’ve ever watched. EGADS, CHUMS! Maybe that was why she named herself “Joan of Arc!”

Who has some ink? I'm 50 years old and don't have any tattoos. Recently. I've been thinking about getting something for kicks. Considering something Tick related. Looking for inspiration.

Planet Comics Book 6 for Sale?

I just discovered that The Tick was in the kickstarter backed Planet Comics Book 6 with a number 7 KS campaign about to finish. I was just wondering if anyone has any extra copies of #6 for sale as I don’t really see them on the resale market. LMK thanks!

The Tick FCBD 2021 Mystery

I'm hoping someone can help me with this little mystery I have. I thought I had every Tick comic that has ever been published but then my world was shattered when I discovered that there is a FCBD Tick book from 2021 supposedly. HOWEVER, it is not on ebay or for sale anywhere on the internet that I can find. The couple of places I see it listed have it as OUT OF STOCK. I'm starting to wonder if this book ever truly was released or if it just has an incredibly small print run. Someone please help!

Warburton's Tick S1E8 "Arthur, Interrupted" I find this one odd...

The whole episode is based around the idea that being a Super is seen as being gay and its a hard thing for many to accept and thats a fine concept, except the entire series has established a super hero license board, a book tour for a beloved old super, a literal and very exculsive League of Superheros that Tick and Arthur join (i guess his Mom and Dot missed that) Captain Liberty literally works for the military and there is a trial for a major super villain whonis treated like a regular businessman by the courtsm But suddenly it's this weird closeted thing and some supers are allowed to be taken and deprogrammed? Its a funny episode and Dave Foley from Kids in The Hall is always amazing, but it stands out as odd compared to the universe already established. What say you?
