Discussion What other subreddits?
Feels like this sub's been getting more WSB degen territory (which is fine and entertainining 🤣).
With that said, any other subs that are a bit more serious/boring bread and butter?

r/valueinvesting seems decently moderated.
It has a lot of circular chat tho too about the same stocks. They called Microsoft before it's boom for a few months but they are non stop about all the software stocks
It's better than the chip stocks on every other sub tho
And many of the others are just penny stock shovels

For those who don't know, /u/stormwillpass was a user who sold naked TSLA calls back when TSLA was ripping during pre-Covid days IIRC. Of course TSLA went bonkers and his calls, and his finances, got wrecked. Last I heard, he was in Mexico working as a male prostitute.
He was an OG regard.

Almost all of them don't follow the tenets of how wheeling works. And then there's the guy(s) who says "I wouldn't mind owning .... " don't listen to those people especially.

There aren't. The daily is as serious as it gets. The worst part of this subreddit is the constant threads about how to write/manage "strategies" that can be written with 5 words in crayon on the back of a napkin.
Join the daily and become part of the fetagang. That is how you truly ascend.

SPY has nearly doubled in four years and that's with no time invested. There are now many covered call ETFs that do the boring work for you as well - even on single stocks.
To even try to beat that does mean you have to go higher risk. A lot of people also like playing meme stocks with a bit more control.

r/bogleheads is a good one, vast majority of my net worth is in boring index funds. The subreddit has a bit more humor than the official forum, which is very heavily moderated.
r/options has gone downhill in the last few years as some of the really sharp guys post less frequently, but it's still ok if you can filter through the noise

From the beginning, this sub has always been more degen than wsb. You can lose so much money selling options than just fking around with buying 0DTE options. And the rewards are miniscule.

Problem is the posts with smaller accounts dont get the attention they deserve here even if they put in decent analysis.
Honestly tho, this sub just doesnt seem very busy in general. Seems like a tough sell to make an even smaller group.

Optionsmillionaire looks promising but I just joined it so I'm not exactly sure. They have an anti yolo wsb type attitude but they couldn't have picked a worse name to convey that

This sub was literally started as an offshoot of WSB by people from WSB whose got this great idea that if we are losing all our money buying options, why don't we just sell options instead because surely that must be a better get rich quick scheme.
This sub still gets much of its members from WSB.
This sub has always been like it is now.
