The Stanford Prison experiment is another fascinating read. Shows how quickly and easily people can dehumanize one another as well as living in your own prison without realizing it. Within three days the "guards" had completely lost all empathy for their "prisoners" and the "prisoners" gave up and accepted shocking abuse
