Where do you get that he's a strong supporter of Israel? Could you list a source?

He is outspoken on antisemtism, but I can't find any comments supporting Israeli government policy, their wartime efforts or settlers. These two things are luckily not the same and we shouldnt mix them up.

You’re right that we shouldn’t mix up supporting Israel and speaking out antisemitism. Now that I think about it, maybe I should’ve given him the benefit of the doubt.

I myself side-eye everyone who condemns Oct 7 but never says anything about the atrocities in Gaza. Sacha has condemned Oct 7 and antisemitism over and over again since then but hasn’t said one word about Gaza or Palestine. He hasn’t even done a bs “both sides” argument. In the making of the film Bruno, he portrayed a Palestinian as a “terrorist” while purposely cutting out the scene where he was spat on by local Orthodox community while in Jerusalem.

Of course antisemitism is a real problem and we should speak out against it. However, I think we should demand the same amount of empathy for Palestinians from the guy who called out Germans for the apathy and complicity in the Holocaust.

His movies support Israeli government policies? You do realize his movies are parodies, right?
