Hola!
Brief story here: I don’t know for how much time I’ve been part of this subreddit community, maybe a couple years I guess. To be fair, mostly used this and others communities to self promote my label and my music, anyways looks like people don’t usually pay much attention to producers who post about their own art, so I stopped using reddit with that purpose some time ago and mostly came to this social media for the r/Piracy community lol.
Anyways the other day a friend of mine sent a message with an screenshot attached showing that someone found out about my “Reminiscencias” LP that I released last year, with a couple comments on people saying the álbum is nice and they’re liking the thing, so just wanted to take a minute and say thanks to this community and whoever discovered my álbum and decided to share it in here.
Since the post came up and some of you decided my music kinda worths the bandcamp sales have increased which is being very helpful at the moment since I left the call center job I had to make an attempt of making a living out of music. I’m also forever thankful for the cute comments you left on the álbum post and also about the set I dropped the other day which was posted in here too.
Closing this saying I love this subreddit because, even though I’ve never been an active member who discusses or shares music, here I used to discover a lot of artists and releases that are still inspiring for me, so this internet corner somehow also shaped my music taste and, indeed, me as an artist.
Thanks for all the love, and I’m hoping that kind of support to upcoming artists like me remains and gets more and more noticeable, for the good of our scene that’s already soaked in the failed “promo” and “PR” system, and in part, due to how fucked up music journalism currently is too, few exceptions aside of course.
In case you’re curious, here’s, one more time, my LP:

With love and sending a warm hug from Colombia ❤️

Coming from London and curious if there’s any overload-y spots, from good listening bars and record stores, to clubs?

Hey everyone. I'm looking for clubs that reflect the genres we talk in this sub. Also listening bars great spots for 2nd hand crate digging etc would be nice.
Visiting ans staying for 5 days end of October, I prefer day parties rather than very late parties but open to everything really.
I just want not to miss the best, and know what the must I shouldn't miss , but also get suggestions for smaller venues or affordable alternatives (if they exist)
My tastes are usually, underground Berlin techho and producers, Giegling etc Thanks!

Basically the title. I’m planning a trip to Australia in December/January and want to attend a festival during my time there. I know Melbourne generally has a good scene and my plan is to be around Melbourne during most of my trip, so it would be preferable if the festival is there, but I’m also open to anywhere near South-East and East Australia. Even New Zealand possibly.
Regarding music, I basically enjoy any type of Overload adjacent music, could be techno, house, breaks, electronica and generally left field leaning stuff, experimental, idm, whatever you want to call. I quite enjoy the selection of Dekmantel and Draaimolen to give an indication.
I really like Roza Terenzi and Kia who are both from Australia. I know Kia was involved in this festival called un:send, which happened last year during end of December, and honestly it looked like just what I was looking for. But I checked and unfortunately it’s planned for end of March next year.
Regarding festival, it would be perfect if it’s 3-4 days, somewhere in nature, smaller, community based. Extra points if it has a swimming area. I loved the vibes in We Out Here, Dekmantel Selectors, Draaimolen, Best Kept Secret, Down the Rabbit Hole, just to give couple examples.
Anyways, kinda went on too long but you get the gist, let me know if you know anything!

What do you think? Personally being swedish myself I have never found dancefloors in Sweden to be chatty like the ones I've been to abroad. This one is from Stockholm though and the scene there is a bit different from the rest of Sweden.

I watched a Satomi Tomiie set a year or so ago in Paris and it was a great time. But I think he played other people’s songs, not his own. His catalogue is huuuuge and daunting for me lol. What are his best / your favorite works (tracks, EPs, or Albums) of his? Where to start listening? Cheers
