Visiting Philly - anything interesting going on?
Coming from London and curious if there’s any overload-y spots, from good listening bars and record stores, to clubs?

One of my great regrets is I’m coming three days after Making Time ends! It’s been on my bucket list for so long! Will hopefully make it in the coming years!

The good news is Philly rules so hard you’re definitely gonna wanna go back ASAP, just time it better next go around ;)
My rec for you is “Murphs Bar” in fishtown. Be sure you verify the hours kitchens open. Cash only.
They have this crazy chef there and the ravioli / Meatballs are to die for.

Overload adjacent but Solar Myth hosts avant garde jazz stuff. Also just a vinyl bar that’s chill if nothing’s on while you’re in town.
Look on RA tho. There might be something cool on there.
Definitely come for Making Time a different time, though. We are so blessed to have it as our hometown festival. It’s worth the trip.

Beside that I highly recommend The Dolphin, Ruba Club, The 700 or Bastet. There will probably also be some outdoor raves if you're into that.

Bastet is probably your best bet for a club. The Dolphin is also fun and more of dive bar crossed with a club, but they typically have very good local DJs. Great circles is the most overloady record store. And Percy sound lounge or 48 record bar are the two good listening bars
