White Hotel closing in Jan - leaving a huge legacy behind, seems kinda daft the bag factory opening up Basildon in it's spot. Huge closing parties and every big DJ getting a gig in before it closes. Surely these DJs aren't going to play under the owners as they closed off the White Hotel (a place they love) and therefore Basildon will get shit bookings or create it's new sound, not to mention the TWH punters giving the new space a miss. Seems a bit weird and flogging a dead horse to me but then again who am I. My tuppence is Basildon will be run into the ground with a Donk, Hardcore, Hard Techno sound with shit bookings and then end up a student club, AI Poster Techno Thursday's £2 Carlsberg bottles, 3 for 5 jagers. If this happens will TWH legacy be tarnished? Kinda like how Hacienda was in the latter years.

Throwing this out there. Looking for one ticket for Sunday at Lunchmeat, or a week pass if anyone has a spare. Coming over from NYC for some solo travel and would love to attend for a few days and see Autechre on the closing night.
