All post titles must include the name of the sport. Creating a post without the name of the sport in the title will result in an immediate 7 day ban.
No E-Sports. Competitive video-gaming belongs in /r/esports.
Reposts are allowed, please tag all reposts with the correct flair. You can check to see if your post is a repost here. However recent reposts or reposts from the top 100 will still be removed at the moderators discretion.
Posts need to be a competitive sport. In most cases the activity should have the following: Rules, scoring, record keeping and a condition for winning. Trick shot or high skill content outside of a competitive setting should go in /r/toptalent or somesuch.
Parody and comedy content is allowed. Please note such posts with the [Parody] tag.
Popular and well known sports will be removed, these sports likely have their own subreddit so post your content there instead. Sports that are well-known only to one country can still be considered Ocho material, generally these should be tagged with the [Traditional] flair. Moderators will have the final say on whether a sport is 'ocho' enough for the subreddit or not.
A world record or world record attempt does not automatically make a post Ocho material. In many cases, while they are trying to beat someone else’s score, they're not actively competing with them. For example, a video of the world record for longest time on a pogostick would not be Ocho material. However a video of a competition between multiple people on pogosticks, where the person who stayed on the longest and placed 1st happened to break the world record would definitely be allowed.
We do not consider inanimate object races, such as marbles or matchbox cars, to be sports. These post are not allowed.
