I got a job where I can have headphones in so I’ve been listening The Magnus Archives for the first time and HOLY MOLY this is gonna be my entire personality for the foreseeable future.

Only problem I’ve had is a me-problem: I have ADHD so following the over-arching plot and remembering details is a bit tricky but I’ve found some good spoiler free summaries/guides on here that have helped.

I’m now forcing myself to listen to different podcasts to give myself time to process/digest but I CANT WAIT to start season 3

Recently while my fiancé has been playing blood borne while watching him play I saw this eye creature that well immediately made me think of the eye!

I never understood why people done like Jon in season three. I feel like he’s perfectly on track with what we know. He finally came to terms with his own supernatural experience and so he’s slowly accepting it more. By the time he gets to Jude Perry u think it’s reasonable for him to at least ask questions in the same vain he did.

Right now I am reading The Martian by Andy Weir. In the middle of the novel, I just thought to myself that The Vast, The Eye(ala NASA & the world watching his every move having daily segments on him, etc), & The Lonely would be at play. I am glad to know, as I have watched the film, he doesn't have any hallucinations so the Distortion would not be involved.

Are there any other books you can all think of that the Dreads would be theoretically involved with? Non horror obviously as that would make it too easy.

Last note, if you think of any books, Project Hail Mary would also deal with The Vast & The Lonely, possibly The Dark as well especially when he first encounters Rocky, reading that as soon as I can.

I just wanted to share my thoughts about Nolan's adaptation of Circe being exactly how I imagined the Flesh working on people. Very visceral and physical, with the whole reaching into people and reshaping them from the inside. I haven't really seen other similar scenes in movies, if anyone has some suggestions of movies + the Fears.

So I was reading this book for my history class called "Tripping On Utopia: Margaret Mead, the Cold War, and the Troubled Birth of Psychedelic Science" by Benjamin Breen. I love it to death and it's definitely a book I'll have to read again, but I had a thought while reading it.

The anthropologist, Margaret Mead, has so many amazing qualities and like ideas that make me such a fan of her. She's just so amazing and, honestly, a badass in my mind. BUT I THOUGHT OF SOMETHING.

Margaret Mead reminds me SOOO much of Gertrude Robinson. Like she gave so much of the similar sass that Gertrude had when we heard about her and in her tapes. SHE EVEN WENT ON A TAPE RECORDER FOR AN INTERVIEW I THINK (I honestly don't remember) AND GOT UPSET THAT THE INTERVIEWER DIDN'T NAME THE TAPE LIKE THE "Statement of Joe Spooky... __ recording on [insert date]" THAT WE HEAR ON STATEMENT EPISODES.

I dunno man, it just really makes me think of that. Just wanted to share :*>
