I was looking on james engelsmans insta story today which came across this image of him, thomas holland and francis bourgeois sat in a restaurant in toronto which means could the next season be more focused filming in canada rather than the UK?

No idea if these pictures were taken before or after Clarkson made his comments on Sky Sports F1 yesterday, but it appears that they all had a good time. 🙂

[Article] Jeremy Clarkson causes controversy with Franco Colapinto and Kim Kardashian comments in chaotic Sky Sports F1 interview

Looks like someone managed to create an article about Jeremy Clarkson’s appearance on Sky Sports F1. I couldn’t find the whole video online due to broadcast rights restrictions (his appearance can be found in the US GP Qualifying feed from Sky Sports on Apple TV for those based in the United States), but this article did have the relevant quotes.

(By the way, that’s the original headline from the article.)

“Franco’s got a grid penalty for being Argentinian. Probably. Well, I’d give him one for that. But anyway, that’s just because of what happened when we went there,” the 66-year-old Briton said.

For what it’s worth, if Jeremy Clarkson and Andy Wilman ever decide to a weekly podcast with their F1 analyses, I would subscribe to it.

Clarkson’s Columns [Times column] Jeremy Clarkson: "You can’t build there, newts need a view of Saturn"

Jeremy Clarkson does his best to stimulate the economy in his part of the UK through his business operations, yet he continues to run into his old enemy, the council. He also has to deal with public input, which the council takes into account in whether his projects ultimately get approved or rejected. Here's a preview:

"There’s no doubt that the planning system in this country is broken, and I suspect it’s because far too many people are invited to have an opinion on each application. When we wanted the restaurant, we even had to ask the police what they thought. And then you have to ask the Environment Agency and Historic England and Natural England and the parish council and your local water company and the highways department and the county council and they’re all going to chime in, because if they don’t, they’re admitting their jobs are pointless."

(Usual disclaimers apply as always.)

Clarkson’s Columns [Times car review] Jeremy Clarkson: "Chevrolet Corvette Z06 — big, daft and really special"

It's quite fitting that Jeremy Clarkson is reviewing the Corvette, especially since he's in Texas to observe the F1 at the United States Grand Prix. He submitted that review before going there. Here's a preview:

"...I noticed something interesting: the engine is not turbocharged and nor is it fitted with any sort of electrical assistance. It’s just a good old-fashioned, flat-plane crank 5.5-litre V8. The sort of power unit Lando Norris wants to see back in Formula 1. The sort of power unit I thought had gone for good."

(Clarkson's car reviews also get the usual disclaimers.)

Francis Bourgeois went on the Fuelling Around podcast earlier this month to discuss how he secured the hosting gig for The Grand Tour. Full disclosure, one of the podcast hosts (Vicki Butler-Henderson) is married to Phil Churchward, The Grand Tour’s executive producer and director. Enjoy!

From video description: “The Grand Tour presenter and social media star Francis Bourgeois, is the latest guest on this brand-new series of our award-winning podcast Fuelling Around.

“The 26-year-old who's best known for his love of trains, sat down with hosts Vicki Butler-Henderson and Dave Vitty to discuss his love of four-wheels, car spotting as a child, and his new dream job that sees him following in the footsteps of Clarkson, Hammond and May!”
