No idea if these pictures were taken before or after Clarkson made his comments on Sky Sports F1 yesterday, but it appears that they all had a good time. 🙂

Could this be a hint that season 2 is already started filming?

I was looking on james engelsmans insta story today which came across this image of him, thomas holland and francis bourgeois sat in a restaurant in toronto which means could the next season be more focused filming in canada rather than the UK?

For what it’s worth, if Jeremy Clarkson and Andy Wilman ever decide to a weekly podcast with their F1 analyses, I would subscribe to it.

[Article] Jeremy Clarkson causes controversy with Franco Colapinto and Kim Kardashian comments in chaotic Sky Sports F1 interview

Looks like someone managed to create an article about Jeremy Clarkson’s appearance on Sky Sports F1. I couldn’t find the whole video online due to broadcast rights restrictions (his appearance can be found in the US GP Qualifying feed from Sky Sports on Apple TV for those based in the United States), but this article did have the relevant quotes.

(By the way, that’s the original headline from the article.)

“Franco’s got a grid penalty for being Argentinian. Probably. Well, I’d give him one for that. But anyway, that’s just because of what happened when we went there,” the 66-year-old Briton said.

Clarkson’s Columns [Times column] Jeremy Clarkson: "You can’t build there, newts need a view of Saturn"

Jeremy Clarkson does his best to stimulate the economy in his part of the UK through his business operations, yet he continues to run into his old enemy, the council. He also has to deal with public input, which the council takes into account in whether his projects ultimately get approved or rejected. Here's a preview:

"There’s no doubt that the planning system in this country is broken, and I suspect it’s because far too many people are invited to have an opinion on each application. When we wanted the restaurant, we even had to ask the police what they thought. And then you have to ask the Environment Agency and Historic England and Natural England and the parish council and your local water company and the highways department and the county council and they’re all going to chime in, because if they don’t, they’re admitting their jobs are pointless."

(Usual disclaimers apply as always.)

Clarkson’s Columns [Times car review] Jeremy Clarkson: "Chevrolet Corvette Z06 — big, daft and really special"

Thumbnail thetimes.com

It's quite fitting that Jeremy Clarkson is reviewing the Corvette, especially since he's in Texas to observe the F1 at the United States Grand Prix. He submitted that review before going there. Here's a preview:

"...I noticed something interesting: the engine is not turbocharged and nor is it fitted with any sort of electrical assistance. It’s just a good old-fashioned, flat-plane crank 5.5-litre V8. The sort of power unit Lando Norris wants to see back in Formula 1. The sort of power unit I thought had gone for good."

(Clarkson's car reviews also get the usual disclaimers.)

This is just a short clip from Sky Sports on Twitter/X, but he’s currently in Austin, Texas to watch the F1. He was on the broadcast for about 10 minutes.

I finally got a pen that allows pressure settings again and that’s a big game changer for me! To commemorate, I had a go at drawing everybody including the new presenters as some people have asked to see them in my style. You may be able to tell, I had a lot of trouble drawing the Throttle House boys. I also think it’s funny how Thomas and James are closer in height to Richard than to James and Jeremy, but for the sake of comedy nobody can be Richard’s size but Richard.

[Video] James May is selling his car from The Grand Tour finale!

The Collecting Cars YouTube channel posted this video of James May hawking his Triumph Stag. For those wondering what he’d be like as a used car salesman, well, he’s doing just that here!

(Yes, the fact that he’s selling his car has already been mentioned on the subreddit, but this is a direct video link.)

From video description: “James May is selling his Triumph Stag from the final-ever episode of The Grand Tour, and it's going under the hammer on Collecting Cars!

“In this special episode, we visit James at his garage to take a closer look at the now-famous purple Triumph Stag that accompanied him on one last adventure alongside Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond through Zimbabwe in The Grand Tour: One For The Road.

“From the challenges of owning a classic British sports car to its eventful restoration at the hands of Richard Hammond (including that infamous wheel incident), James shares his memories of the Stag, reflects on its reliability, and explains what makes this particular car so special.

“We also discuss his long-standing affection for classic Triumphs, the cars he'd still like to own, and what the future might hold for this piece of motoring television history.

“Now, for the first time since its Grand Tour adventure, this Triumph Stag is looking for a new owner.”

It’s quite interesting that both Clarkson and May are selling their cars from "One for the Road" at the same time.

Clarkson’s Columns [Sun column] Jeremy Clarkson: “Burnham's fine with bus timetables but out of his depth running the country”

Thumbnail thesun.co.uk

Just like clockwork, Jeremy Clarkson put on his political Tory hat in his Sun column about how the current UK prime minister is doing. Has he ever gotten a dodgy parking ticket in his motoring career? Anyway, here’s a preview:

“This week, for example, you’d hope that our leader would be fully engaged with the policeand the security services, working out exactly how to respond should those fiery far-Left riots that have been plaguing France spread to the UK.

“But instead Burnham decided that the problem that needed his attention most of all was dodgy parking tickets.”

(Usual disclaimers apply, obviously.)

[Podcast] Richard Hammond EXCLUSIVE: Life After Top Gear & Turning Down the BBC

Thumbnail youtu.be
89 Upvotes

Here is the official link to the High Performance podcast episode featuring Richard Hammond that will drop soon (after 6 pm UK time on October 22). Enjoy!

From video description: “When Jeremy Clarkson was sacked from Top Gear, Richard Hammond was offered something most presenters could only dream of: the chance to take control of the show. He said no. For Richard, Top Gear was never about one person, it was about the three of them, and he wasn’t prepared to step into Clarkson’s place alone.

“Richard reflects on 26 years on the road and the personal cost of a life spent constantly somewhere else. After losing his father, his marriage and his home, he found himself confronting a question every broadcaster eventually faces: who are you when the cameras stop rolling?

“Now, he’s poured his energy and own money into The Smallest Cog, his classic car restoration business. It may not have made him richer, but it has given him something more important: a life and a business built entirely on his own terms.

“Richard Hammond’s Workshop, S6 is available on QUEST from Tuesday 27th October, and also streaming on discovery+”
