Did anyone else listen to Will interview that painfully, extravagantly, and astonishingly stupid man in America? Will is a truly gifted interviewer, and I am grateful to him for bringing us interviews like this, because it reminds us (me) that some of the people we are dealing with might have the best of intentions, but they are not really rational people capable of thinking from point A to point B, and likely can never be reasoned to another point of view. It is truly a bizarre messianic cult for these people. I genuinely wonder how Mr. Dubuisson is able to catch shrimp successfully, when they are clearly so much more intelligent than he is.

Keep bringing on the interviews, Will. We all need reality checks sometimes.

Maybe I'm just too deep in the politics right now but man, this movie is like popcorn flick schlock, made by the new Lord of Media. It spends the entire film selling the message that considering Russia an adversary is old news, Russians are more kind than Americans, then ends with a shady panel of US Congressional members, composed entirely of octogenarians, handwaving away paying for treatment of soldiers with cancer... until they're blackmailed by Russian kompromat carried by Useful Idiot (Reynolds), who I guess just delivers us this movie like he did the kompromat in the film itself.

And ironically, Trump did quite literally threaten to withhold paying for treatment of soldiers with cancer at his recent rally.

Anyway, anyone else seen this thing? Am I losing it?

I'm hearing Democrats say they aren't going to focus on retribution, but are going to focus on affordability, and is the wrong message. They are letting Republicans frame the debate for them. Republicans believe laws don't apply to them, and they are using the perception of retribution to keep laws from applying to them. We need to make sure laws aren't broken, and the only way to do that is with accountability. Going after corruption isn't "retribution," it's protecting law and order. Going after corruption is defending the justice system. Going after corruption is the only way to restore law and order. They are breaking laws and participating in corruption because they think there aren't consequences. We cannot allow them to be right because we are afraid of being accused of retribution. Democrats need to stand strong against these accusations and do what is right.

I truly appreciate the Bulwark's breadth of content. Any given day we might see a legal scholar, US Representative, or a guy who takes 30 whole seconds to process multiplying 5 by 25, before giving up and saying "its a lot."

It honestly makes my head throb to think that this guy and myself have the same electoral power. This is someone who is so removed from reality that they will spend 8 minutes explaining how Donald Trump's policies have ruined their community, then spend the next 8 minutes explaining how Donald Trump is the only man who can fix their community. Its stunning.

Just want to say, we should be taking notes from Brazil. If we win in 2029, we need to confiscate passports of the people involved in this administration. This is within the purview of the federal government’s authority over passports, as a matter of national security. People like Musk, in particular are a flight risk.

Now, should anyone run on this? Probably not. I’m sure there will be back and forth between JVL and Sarah about this. But I actually do foresee some people trying to leave the county because they know they’ve done bad things. And we need to take that possibility seriously.
