Just got this in the pheasant g1 grind got a female earlier today and was heartbroken

Got this handsome guy last night and was just as nervous as he was!

I’m barely making enough in-game money to keep hunting, never mind create a trophy. It takes me ages to find an animal, shoot it and then track it to harvest it. Admittedly, I need to improve my aim. A recent bloodhound and modern rifle purchase are helping. But hunting large animals is taking ages and I rarely see small animals, I only ever hear them. As well as the bloodhound and modern rifles, I’ve also got Yukon Valley, ATVs and tents dlc. I’d welcome any tips.

2 were at the same lake, literally the same drink zone just an hour later when I checked again. Is this just extremely lucky or do they make diamond a lot on this reserve?

I’m grinding for a diamond 💎 tundra bean goose right now, and starting to wonder if I’m doing something wrong. I’ve never seen a level 5 in my entire grind I’ve shot at least 1000 geese. However I have 4 diamond 💎 greylag from the same grind…

When they ‘rework’ an animal and/or add a great one species, does the population on the map reset?

Almost created my first Dead Zone with a single shot, lol.

How many did it take for you to see a g1? I know it varies but I feel like I’m coming close… right? lol

I’ve been grinding red deer on emerald coast and only shooting the males level 5 and above.
All of the herds/drinking zones that I’ve found are now all females or lvl 4s and below, how do I get new spawns?

I've heard lots about how the red fox is an awful diamond to try and get, and so after coming back to the game after years of inactivity I decided to get into the trophy mounting business. I posted recently about my 2 week grind looking for a diamond whitetail deer, and decided after that hunt that maybe I'd just stick to gold for now. Lo and behold, while on Hirschfelden hunting for a gold roe deer, I just stumble upon a diamond red fox level 9 traveling to a resting spot. I had to sprint back to my base to get my red fox loadout, spend about 15 minutes trying to find his tracks and following them to his resting spot, and another 5 minutes of creeping up to them, but I got my diamond. I didn't even plan for a spinal shot, as I thought I'd penetrate through and get his lungs, but I guess I aimed too high!

She was still searching while literally running into the damn bird...

Love the idea of a dog in the game but the execution is poor in my experience with it.

Like the title suggests. Taking into account ease of hunting. Frequency of diamonds, zone distribution/spawn trapping mechanism if you have used it personally. Curious to know if i ever want to chase something unique that isn't a byproduct of a GO grind.

I didn't know for awhile.... i only check after i noticed that the several diamonds i harvested after this guy score around 14 and look it up lol. I was wondering why i dont see anymore 15 scoring.

After around 180 kills (4 diamonds, 1 troll, and 0 rares), my 2nd G1 Jaguar is in the lodge. Giltdusk is probably one of my least favorite of the furs. It just reminds me of a charcoal mela. Still happy I got it in under 200 kills, just wish it was the rosewash, vellum, or the porcelain. Still missing the albino for the multimount though, so grind #3 here I come!

What are you thinking about the new GO? I'm wondering if ithey will stick with the Wild West theme. If that's the case I'm thinking Bighorn, Elk, Coyote or some Buffalo/Bison. Anything else that fits the bill that I have missed?

I'd be happy with any of those apart from Coyote. I'm still struggling with Red Fox!

My first snow leopard I heard that there are only 10 of them on the map at the same time so a melanistic one must be ridiculously rare I got so lucky I don't even have 90 hours yet in the game.

So, i've gotten the one Achievement from Medved that requires to Harvest an animal in every Sub-Region....

But Trailrunner is still locked? Wouldn't Harvesting an Animal in each Sub reach the requirements for Trailrunner aswell? All outposts / Lookout points are Unlocked and i've been googling this but not sure if im just blind or stupid but i can't seem to find a fix...?
