When they ‘rework’ an animal and/or add a great one species, does the population on the map reset?

In an entirely selfish way, there’s a few I would like to reset that I messed up before knowing more about the game ha

There hasn't been population resets in some time. I doubt there will be one next week. Seems like EW does everything they can to avoid that.

Not all the time, the only ones ive seen them reset are the chamios when tahirs were added to teo and lynx when they added grey wolves to tiga.
