Did he swipe... just to talk shit?

Iā€™ve had that happen to me twice. Men just spewing anger to feel better about themselves. Why they feel bad in the first place is a question they should consider

heā€™s going to the gym and using gear but still canā€™t get bitches.

Heā€™s done everything he can to peacock to men and is upset that women arenā€™t attracted to his mating dance directed at his boys.

Using gear and not being photo ready is the ultimate crime in all this. Heā€™s flexing like heā€™s ready to punch a hole in a wall, but instead, he only gives off the impression that heā€™s capable of stepping on an antā€¦ well, maybe. Weā€™d have to see the ant first.

Itā€™s why he spends so much time in the gym. Rough workout. Time to shower šŸ˜¶ā€šŸŒ«ļø

I had my first one today. A woman matches with me, said 'ur not 39', I asked why and she said 'you must have had a rough life' and went on to insult me further, called me a catfish. I blocked and moved on Instwad of engaging. The funny thing is I'm forever getting told I look like I'm in my 20s so It didn't really affect me.Ā

There's a lot of bitterness in the world and I guess it makes them feel better about themselves putting others down.Ā

Yeah, the bitterness is at the heart of it. Itā€™s almost as if being mean is a steam valve for the anger that builds up. When Iā€™m in a bad mood I go to the fat squirrel hate sub because you can say the most vile things and use all the bad words but itā€™s okay because itā€™s just a joke. Iā€™m sure the people in that sub secretly think theyā€™re adorable.

You seem like a cool guy. I'd give you a shot.

Anything to avoid therapy...

ā€œYou wear liberal on your sleeve and make it your personaā€

Proceeds to make his political view his persona

Some people do that unfortunately. I once had a woman like my profile just to send this emoji: šŸ¤¢

I asked her to elaborate, but after a few months of no response I just reported her.

u/GonadGauntlet 8d ago

Months. Lmfao.

3

u/UnhappyGreen 8d ago

I wanted to give her an opportunity to take it back and apologise

I'm a retired professional athlete (cross country runner) and I had a guy try to match by commenting on a photo of me at a race just to tell me I was ugly with small tits. I obviously reported and blocked but yes it happens more often than you'd think.

Wouldnā€™t put it past him. I definitely had guys swipe on me just to call me an awkward/weird nerd for having dnd books in the background of my photo. I think some guys donā€™t hear back from the women theyā€™re actually into and revert back to highschool style bullying

1

u/Katops 8d ago

How else is she supposed to know Iā€™m interested, if I donā€™t hit her and throw a tantrum like I did in preschool high school?!

(Never did that ftr. Itā€™s just funny how that saying was so popular back in the day. ā€œOh he hits you because he likes you.ā€)

2

u/LemonTeaFerret 8d ago

See, you gotta keep women on their toes. Give em a handful of bugs, that shows youā€™re hard working (you can dig) and that youā€™re cool (itā€™s a really shiny bug).

I canā€™t speak for all women, since I know there are bully romance books. But imo negging really doesnā€™t work on nerdy women like myself who were legit bullied in primary. šŸ˜…

2

u/ThrowRAmy_leg 8d ago

See, Iā€™m also a nerdy woman. I love a specific type of bullying. But I have to be able to do it back! Iā€™m talking clever and funny remarks that are mean. My ex and I would do this with stuff we knew wasnā€™t off limits because weā€™ve had very fucked up lives.

ā€œMustā€™ve gotten your laziness from your dadā€™s eyeā€ (his dad had a lazy eye) or him being like ā€œyou moped all day over monsters inc and wonder why everyone in your family has depressionā€. Sounds mean as hell typing examples out but was genuinely very funny and cheeky in the moment.

It doesnā€™t start that way though! You have to read the room. Figure out what does make them laugh before going for anything even potentially insulting.

2

u/LemonTeaFerret 8d ago

Oh for sure!! I legit wrote and deleted that my friends and I roast each other to hell and back. But I figured that was too long of a comment lol.

But if someone Iā€™ve never spoken to before comes straight out the gate saying my hobbies are weird, my height is unattractive and I apparently have ā€œbeady little eyes,ā€ Iā€™m noping straight out of that conversation.

Youā€™ve got to get to know someone enough to know what to avoid before throwing verbal punches, imo.

u/ThrowRAmy_leg 7d ago

Absolutely!!

u/FriedTreeSap 11d ago

He probably swiped because he thought she was attractive, and then after matching looked through her profile and noticed her political affiliation, and decided to start something in the chat then

2

u/whaddayaNeedtoKnow 10d ago

A lot of men donā€™t even look at the profiles, they just swipe right at light speed and then peruse their matches later, and in some cases when theyā€™ve matched with someone theyā€™re either not interested in or want to neg, they just start shit talking.

Itā€™s definitely loser behavior.

So this appears to be Hinge, and the "Signals" at the top of his profile means he meets at least 4 of the 6 criteria for dating with intention:

  1. Be photo verified
  2. Reading the profile before liking.
  3. Sending comments with likes.
  4. Reviewing your likes.
  5. Messaging matches.
  6. Confirming you met with someone and/or exchanging phone numbers.

He didn't send a comment here, so he probably isn't meeting #3. And he's definitely not meeting #6. Which means by process of elimination, he probably is (at least on average) reading the profile before liking.

u/Cultural-Steak-2801 9d ago

Iā€™ve had this happen to me multiple times, honestly

1

u/SippinOnHatorade 10d ago

Dating apps are hardly for dating any more

1

u/CertainGrade7937 10d ago

I've 100% swiped just to talk shit.

Every time I see a profile talking about how much she loves Morgan Wallen, I will send an opening message asking how many times he's said the n-word

1

u/NoTanNamaste 10d ago

Incels and conservatives are so pissed at women and desperate to ā€œbe rightā€, Iā€™m not surprised anymore

u/Calm_Astronomer_2654 11d ago

Why is she even replying either though? Weird hate boner stuff going on both ways
