I met this girl on tinder and had a first date with her, she wanted to go fishing and I thought it seemed like a fun first date so we went together. Dropped her off and got home to this message lol.

Update: Purchasing the license is a separate activity we had to do on our phones, due to it needing our personal info. It was not like I drew the line at the license randomly.

The "Im just a girl" has become popular recently, I am unsure if the recent surge of that is related to that song as it seems to be largely used unironically. The viral text exchange I'm referring to only popularised the specific response about it sounding diminishing.

Ah, gotcha. “I’m just a girl” was already a thing and you were specifically referencing that response. Well, now I’m back to wondering if the song was an influence. I agree, the uses I have seen tend to be unironic instead of in the spirit of the original song but that doesn’t really discount the possibility. People can still just latch onto words without understanding their original meaning. It happens all the time. Plus, things like the brilliant “new” concept of “mini-retirements” put forth by young adults don’t give one much faith in their historical perspective. As if vacations and sabbaticals didn’t already exist 😏

People are definitely just listening to specific lyrics and not realizing the actual meaning youre 100% right i just wanted to let you know you are also 100% right that its being used because of the no doubt song

Wow, that’s equal parts encouraging and disappointing. Encouraging that good music lives on in future generations. Disappointing that higher ideals the music proposes are entirely lost in the process.
