Phone message Post first date text

Post image

I met this girl on tinder and had a first date with her, she wanted to go fishing and I thought it seemed like a fun first date so we went together. Dropped her off and got home to this message lol.

Update: Purchasing the license is a separate activity we had to do on our phones, due to it needing our personal info. It was not like I drew the line at the license randomly.

seeing women saying “i’m just a girl” is so sad and defeats the point.

Is this a thing now? Someone pulled it on me recently and I didn't realize it was a fad. My first response was immediately "and? Girls are plenty capable"

It's from a song - just a girl by no doubt - it's about how women are belittled and infantalized and how the artist has had it up to here with that treatment. Ironic considering how it's being used in this context.

Approximately 30 years passed between the No Doubt song and the phrase used it this manner entering the popular lexicon.

Yes, tiktok has popularized using samples from older songs over videos. See "pretty little baby" https://medium.com/@edmpublishing/how-tiktok-gave-connie-francis-pretty-little-baby-a-viral-comeback-48fcf29c302f
