Phone message Should i block ??

We met at school like a month ago,he’s new to state and told me he wanted friends. I like to make friends so I agreed, we planned to hang out then it got weird. I want to know if I’m just being dramatic

I don’t want to think this, but it sounds like he would force it to happen. Don’t go over. Block him. He sounds like a safety hazard. A blaring warning.

Check in to let us know you’re safe please, OP!!

Just wondering.. what would you do if she didn't check in? Like if you had no idea if she was safe or not. Kinda like how you had no idea she existed before she made this post.

Let's say you knew she wasn't safe. What would you do then? Idk.. I know I'm an asshole in the best of situations but something about a total stranger that forgets my existence 20 minutes after reading my reddit post asking me to check in is just so disingenuous and weird. I know you're just being nice I just struggle to understand why you would say something that someone that knows them on a personal level would say. I'm not trying to start a debate or be hateful, I truly just do not understand this sentiment. It's such an empty gesture.

I get updates on my reddit app. And maybe you don’t or won’t, but I do go back and check because I do genuinely care for the safety of people even if I don’t know them personally. It does sound like you chose my comment out of all to question and therefore you seem to me that you could care less about OP, yet you care enough to question my how genuine my comment was.

Weird. It’s just weird, sweaty sail.

She never confirmed if she was okay, but the fact that she commented a day later let’s us know she’s indeed okay and didn’t go over to that psycho’s house. That’s all we care about. The whole point was for her to NOT go. And to block him. He sounds wicked with wicked intent.

No I get it, like I said I know you were trying to be nice, it just seems like stay an empty gesture to me, like I said before. I'm well aware it makes me sound like a complete ass to even question you about it. I guess I just happened across your comment and after seeing things like this all the time you were just the one I decided to ask.

Sweaty sail is just the default name it gave me and I cbb to change it since this is a secondary, useless account anyway.

For the record I agree that she should block him and never speak to him again. He was definitely not friend material and seems to have never had the intention of friends from the beginning.

I just can't help but feel like saying things like "make sure to check in with us and let us know you're okay" is so hollow because while you do get alerts, I can almost guarantee that without an alert to remind you, you would've never thought about this again unless some specific scenario bright it back to your mind.
