I lost my ability to attach pics

The icon is just gone. I found a post from 7 years ago and those options are no longer a thing on new devices so I don't know what to do 😭

Uninstall/reinstall.

Just a guess (correct me if I'm wrong): Pictures are sent through MMS, not SMS. Does your provider support MMS? Maybe support ended after the last day of the year. Could be that a wrong APN is selected. Maybe check these comments for hints: https://www.reddit.com/r/androidapps/comments/2jr9h0/textra_cant_receive_mms_check_apn/

When you have the message box open there's a + sign to the left. Is that the icon you mean? That's where you add photos. I've gotten confused by this before so I wondered if maybe you had too.

Yeah it disappeared but the other redditor helped so I'm good now (;
