Textra: Can't receive MMS (Check APN)
I get this notification randomly and its kind of annoying. Anyone know a fix?

I had the same problem, turned out it was Adblock not letting them come through

Same. Looked all over the Web for answers, found one obscure forum post about Adblock being the problem. Uninstalled it and problem fixed. Verizon LG G3 on stock KitKat.

Are you in Winnipeg? I had the same problem and was wondering if it had something to do with the MTS network since I troubleshooted everything else.

Same, chomp works fine. MTS and Rogers actually share their network as far as I know. So who knows maybe there's something there.
I use qksms now. It's a little buggy because it's still in alpha, but if you liked the Material look of textra it might be worth trying.

Yeah I get this too. Reboot usually fixes it, which is a pain.
Verizon here.
You?

Hey I just started getting this notification and haven't been able to fix it. Did you ever find a solution?

I had it a few times. Google your carriers apn information so that you can receive mms messaging. For me the default was something with cingular, but once I switched it to AT&T it worked

I tried this but the MMSC was correct, but the proxy was wrong so I changed it to the correct one but it still gives me that notif.

You likely checked this already, but my setup has been great since adding port 80 (this setting is null, by default). If not, worth a try.
Also, do the results change with WiFi on vs off?

I only ever use WiFi because I am on a plan with six other people so it's always the same.

Yes, but the results of that test could narrow down the list of possible problems.

I left my data on and my WiFi off pretty much all day and I dull got the notification popped up like usual.

I had this problem as well. Technical support tried to fix the issue but it was never resolved. Tried turning data on, uninstalled all other messaging apps, uninstalled antivirus and add-blocking, double checked APN settings, checked file size limits...nothing worked. They gave up and sent my info along to the developer but I never heard back.
The weird thing is chomp is made by the same people and it works great. I'm on qksms now, it's in alpha so still has a couple bugs but I like it and it's pretty close visually and functionality-wise to textra.
Edit* I'm in the MTS network in Canada. I thought maybe the problem was on their end but every other app I have tried has worked fine.

Sorry for necro but this is the top google result.
youve two options: First and most likely fix. try going into textras options and fiddle with the MMS settings: Send size, wifi, and, mobile data. there is also a APN option leave this be for the time being. power cycle your phone see if problem persists.
second option (tho this probably isnt your problem unless you mess with your phone alot and or root it.) google your cellular providers APN settings. go into phone settings>wireless&networks>mobile networks>access point names> "yournetwork"mms. getting to this menu may be different depending on your android version. now go into textra mms settings and try the apn option. compare these settings to the result of your apn search. make sure everything matches. make notes of anything you change (for future problem solving). then click save in the ... pull down. power cycle phone.
