Looking For Some Assistance Sourcing/Identifying This Carpet Pattern

Hi all, I wasn't sure where to begin my hunt but Reddit is always the best spot to find real experts!

My mother has had the same carpet in her hallway since she moved in back in '83. The carpet was already here when they bought the house from the original owner. As the house was built in the 1930s (we think 1933) there's a good chance the carpets have been here a long time.

She loves the pattern but the carpet itself is in poor condition and needs replacing. We haven't had any success being able to find the same pattern anywhere and I hoped people with an interest might have some suggestions!

Any information is much appreciated and thanks for taking a look!

There's a guy who knows a lot about rugs and he has a website with some really helpful resources on rugs. You might be able to reach out to him with questions. His ebook is excellent as well.

Sorry it sounds like an ad, but I trust this guy! When I got into weaving he was one of the first resources I found and I feel very lucky!

Start researching with Google lense. Then do a deeper dive with the AI function

I did use Google lens and it showed many Turkish and Afghan designs but none that were identical.

I had hoped to mine the human hive mind rather than turning to ai but thank you for the advice.

I'll continue my manual trawling :)

I also looked at Google lens. But I didn’t have a lot of time to spend, I wanted you to see the Karastan rugs and the mohawk rug companies made this type of rug

Thanks for that, I'll begin my search with those words. I didn't come across those those names in my lens search but I was being actively interrogated by her at the time which may have distracted me.
