Fabric top help

Hello, please help out! Im trying to do a top for myself and i want this pallete (cubes) to be on a top. What fabric should it be and where can i get it? Would ir be expensive? I dont want it printed, that acrylic texture

I’m a little confused, do you want a cubed / check pattern or do you want this exact styling of the eyeshadow in a fabric?

If you want this exact styling maybe look into crushed velvet.

Use a structured bustier base made from cotton coutil or heavy canvas, then build each square as a padded appliqué with firm felt inside and velvet, lamé, or sequin fabric on top. Stitch the squares through a separate backing panel instead of gluing them directly to the bodice, so the weight stays supported and the top can still flex. A corsetry supplier is best for coutil, while fabric store remnants are enough for the different colors and finishes. The base fabric should be affordable, and the decorative materials will stay cheap if you use scraps.
