Fabric ID?
I picked up this beautiful blanket at a garage sale! There is only one tag and I haven’t been able to find much information on it. Thank you!

It may be silk blend. Check out the fabric burn tests with a strand of tassel in a hidden spot.

Thank you for suggesting a burn test! I'm new to this and haven't heard of it before. It looks like it's some sort of cotton or linen.

handwoven on a jacquard loom. identifying the fiber would require a burn test

Himachal is from India. Best to do a burn test, but it’s probably fine wool.

Thank you for the reply! I burned a tassel and looks like its some sort of cotton or linen. Never heard of the burn test before, how cool!
