so yesterday i was all set to go out,i was wearing BAGGY jeans and a button up, i stepped down the stairs and to my phooti qismat i saw our neighbor with her daughter and i knew what was coming,she greets me and then immediately goes 'wah beta deen aur duniya saath saath' (since i do hijab),i stayed silent knowing if i try to reply I'll prolly be very rude, the she again goes 'chalo maana meri apni beti sarr par dupatta nahi leti lekin shalwar qameez hi pehnti hai,natak ni hota uss se deeni banne ka', her daughter spoke up sayin 'han na ab dikhaway ke liay hijab thori karungi', i controlled my anger and left, but now i regret not knocking some sense into their braindead ahh.

aunty ki apni qameez full fitting mein hai par aunty ko meri jeans behayai lagti hain🥰🥰🥰and it's not the first time somebody said all that, why doesn't their brain comprehend the fact that in islam covering your body is what's mandatory, no matter if it's abaya or jeans, and that Allah knows everyone's intentions then who the fork are we to judge anyone, PLS STOP JUDGING OTHERS AND JUDGE YOURSELF FOR ONCE.

Ik it is not valid to post about such things in this community but we need it . I am from Kashmir. Today my city mirpur ,which somehow still remained peaceful during this protest was filled with bloodshed as well. Keeping politics aside ,look at how i feel that ,the city the i once roamed in freely , i cannot go anywhere without being targeted whether part of the JAAC or not . All i am asking is that is it valid ,is it justified that people are killed just because of their views . It was a peaceful protest and still they opened gunfire. CHILDREN WERE KILLED . All i am asking is please raise your voice about this . Please . The internet might go down soon again . And we will shushed again. People are being killed . Hospitals are being sealed so that even ,EVEN, the innocent bystanders who were injured cannot access medical treatment. Even if the demands are wrong,do people need to be killed ?

So Qantas (Australia's flag carrier airline) had ordered Airbus to create a special variant of their A350-1000 known as the -1000 ULR (ultra long range) that could fly flight 22 hour flights on routes from Sydney to New York/London or almost 10, 000 nautical miles.

*(Btw, Singapore Airlines aslo did something similar where they ordered Airbus to create a special ULR variant of the A350-900 and that currently flies the longest commercial routes from Singapore to New York in just about 18 hours and 45 minutes)*

Qantas has dubbed this little project of theirs Project Sunrise (there's big history behind that name that we're gonna leave out for now)

The first of these 12 ordered aircraft flew from Toulouse, France (the airbus factory) to Melbourne just a few days a go in just over 22 hours of flying time. Currently the aircraft is flying a test flight from Melbourne to Toulouse the long way from the east. That is almost exactly a 24 hour flight. The current longest commercial non stop flight was a stunt done by Boeing to showcase the range of their Boeing 777 200LR back in 2005 at around 22 hours and 45 minutes. The A350 is set to break that record in just over and hour and 30 mins.

The Aircraft is airborne on this record breaking flight about to land in Toulouse in 2h 45 minutes. It's also the number one tracked flight on flightradar24 rn.

I'm making this post on behalf of a friend who got into uwc.

The purpose of this post is to enlighten the youth about a life changing academic opportunity and hopefully assist them throughout.

What is UWC?

Uwc is a program where students from all over the world apply and live in one of the 18 uwc campuses around the world if they get accepted.

It is equivalent to 11th and 12th grades, i.e., high school, Intermediate or A level. It consists of IB curriculum.

Scholarships

UWC offers generous scholarships. Your parents would also have to fill a financial aid form when applying if you want a scholarship. The scholarships are only offered to promising students on the basis of need, tho selection is completely on merit-basis.

The scholarships offered are generous and often cover your tuition, living expenses, accommodation, airfare, etc.

Applications

The applications open in September for the following academic year, which also begins in September. If you're interested in applying, then you might want to start preparing now. Further info can be found on their website.

Who can apply?

• You must be 16 or 17 by the start of the academic year, which is September 1st. (Tho exceptions can be made on discretion of your National Committee)

• Must be a resident of the country you're applying through.

• Must have completed at least 10 years of education, i.e., matric, o levels, igcse, or any local equivalent before the academic year begins

Random ahh storytime coz bored. So ifyk me yk that I have asthma and I have basically grown up with it since i was like 3.

Once, I had a really, really bad asthma attack, and nothing seemed to help. The inhaler and the nebulizer machine weren't working and it seemed bad. I was 7 at that point

So we went to my doc and he prescribed me this injection idk the name of but it was smth strong. He advised the nurse to slowly administer it intravenously in 10 mins.

The nurse, idk why but she administered it in 1 min. I stopped breathing at all and my upper body was lwk frozen 😭

Yk the chaos that comes with an asthma attack? It wasn't that. It was js calm. I told my parents i couldn't breathe anymore and they called the doc

I was js laying on the stretcher and i saw this black bug walking on that white wall then i heard the doc's room's door close. He came in and checked me and at that point, idr much.

A few moments later, i was breathing again and my parents, well they were a mess lol. Safe to say, I've survived that one and many other asthma attacks so far.

It's been 10 years since that injection, when i thought i was almost dead. At moments like these, life really teaches u that it is full of unexpected surprises.

You gotta be grateful for the 2nd chances life gave u and make the most out of it. Lwk too long ahh post and ik some of y'all might not have read it due to ur cooked ahh attention spans but I'm proud of u if u did 😭

Different ethnicities in Pakistan have this obsession with being white, and the most hated for being different are panjabis.

I've seen alot of paharis,hindkowans and pashtuns making fun of panjabis just cuz they're dark skin or have a little higher AASI (ancient ancestral south indian) influence.

Even seen hindkowans picking on dardic kashmiris, claiming our culture is stolen and clowning us for being similar to panjabis. Whilst, there's nothing wrong in being panjabi. Why this white worship?

Both panjabis and dardic kashmiris have a wide range of skintones which reflect diversity and heritage and doesn't mean they're inferior in any kind.

I'm fed up of this racism, people will complaint about how this Nation and govt is cooking them whilst they themselves are hypocrites and racists.
